A splitter for interconnecting a first connector with at least two second connectors includes a first electrically conductive layer that is connectable to the first connector and to at least one of the second connectors. The first layer has at least two electrically conductive terminals which protrude from the first layer. The electrically conductive terminals are arranged to provide electrical connection between a first contact of the first connector and an associated first contact of at least one of the second connectors.

Electrical splitter and assembly method

An insulation displacement contact is for piercing through an insulation of a cable or wire in a cutting direction and electrically contacting an electrically conductive core of the cable or wire. The insulation displacement contact includes a contact body having a piercing section for piercing the insulation and a contact slot receiving the core of the cable or wire. The contact slot extends along the cutting direction from the piercing section into the contact body. The contact body has a pair of blades separated by the contact slot. The blades have a pair of attachment slots extending from the piercing section into the blades.

A contact assembly for a connector housing includes an adapter element and a contact element. The adapter element has a sleeve with a lead-through opening extending in an axial direction of the sleeve and with a threaded bore extending perpendicularly to the lead-through opening through the sleeve. The contact element is adapted to be inserted into the lead-through opening and latched to the sleeve. The contact element may exhibit varying types of a cable connection section and/or a contact section. The adapter element is receivable within the connector housing and may accept the contact element regardless of the type of cable connection section and/or contact section.

A solar junction box includes a housing having a base and walls defining a cavity. The base has an opening configured to receive a conductive foil. A power cable is held in the housing having a power terminal terminated to an end of the power cable positioned within the housing. An electronic module is removably received in the cavity. The electronic module has a circuit board including electronic components mounted to the circuit board, a foil contact configured to be removably coupled to the foil, and a power contact configured to be removably coupled to the power terminal. The circuit board has a power circuit electrically connecting the foil contact and the power contact.
