A damage assessment system includes one or more processors and memory storing instructions executable by the one or more processors to cause the one or more processors to receive IOT data from one or more IOT devices at a property. The instructions are executable by the one or more processors to cause the one or more processors to analyze the IOT data to identify missing data that is expected to be received from the one or more IOT devices at the property, generate constructed data to remedy the missing data based on the IOT data using machine learning algorithms, determine characteristics of damage present at the property based on the IOT data and the constructed data, and output a damage assessment report to indicate the characteristics of the damage present at the property.

Damage assessment systems and methods

Mutual authentication and CSR verification techniques are described in this patent document. When a first person calls a second person, neither of them know that the other person is who he or she says he or she is. After a second person receives the call, the second person can log into a provider portal using a user device. After the second person logs in, the second person can see a verification of the call, can input on the user device a time passcode, or can receive such as passcode from a central system to authenticate the first person. The first person can provide the passcode to the second person. Upon receiving the inputted passcode, the second person can use his or her user device to indicate that the time passcode is correct so that the second person can be authenticated to access the first person's account.

Mutual authentication system

An eye-monitoring system monitors and relieves, or even prevents, eye fatigue in users of display screens. The system monitors indicia of eye fatigue in the user, analyzes whatever information the monitoring uncovers, and assigns a score to the monitored indicia. For example, rubbing the eyes is a pretty strong sign of eye fatigue, while the system may have to monitor pupil dilation for quite a while to decide that eye fatigue is likely. The assigned score is associated with the likelihood that the user has, or will soon have, eye fatigue. If the score so warrants, then the system takes remedial action to lessen any current fatigue and to hold off the development of more fatigue. As an example of remedial action, the system alters the visual content seen by the user to shift the content's color palette slightly or to decrease its displayed brightness.

A system may include one or more detectors configured to generate detector data based on signals received from one or more tags integrated in or disposed on one or more items. The system may include a processor configured to: receive the detector data; determine a first set of identification information corresponding to a first item of the one or more items based on the detector data; receive a list of tagged items for a first location, and the list of tagged items comprises a second set of identification information corresponding to the one or more items; identify a theft incident for the first item based on a comparison of the first and second sets of identification information; automatically send a notification relating to the theft incident to one or more devices; and determine one or more insurance policy decisions for the first item based on the theft incident.

Systems and methods for continuously monitoring items

Methods and systems described herein are directed to automatedly detecting a vehicle accident occurrence based on a generated accident suspicion. An accident detection system can retrieve a myriad of information as data relating to a driver or a vehicle of the driver. The retrieved information can be assessed to determine assignment of a suspicion of a vehicle accident occurrence. The suspicion assignment can be based on, with respect to historical insurance data, predetermined thresholds and/or machine learning for the retrieved information. The retrieved information can be verified by auxiliary data remote from the driver or the vehicle of the driver. The accident detection system can verify the suspicion by dispatching one or more notifications to the driver, and in the absence of response, determine whether the suspicion is true via the collection of information for a suspected location of the accident or from individuals associated with the driver.

Method and system for automatically detecting a vehicle accident

The present disclosure relates to detecting distracted driving on a mobile device and mitigating distracted driving by determining whether a mobile device is used by a driver of a vehicle or by a passenger of the vehicle. The system can determine that the mobile device is in a vehicle and modify the functionality of the mobile device to transition the mobile device into an automobile mode. Vehicle data and/or mobile device data can be used to determine a number of individuals in the vehicle. An identity of the operator of the mobile device can be authenticated based on authentication information obtained by the mobile device. Based on the authenticated identity of the operator of the mobile device, a driving score associated with the driver can be modified, where the score indicates a number of instances of distracted driving by the driver.

A computing system acquires a plurality of gig-income models for a plurality of gig-workers, and each of the plurality of gig-income models includes a corresponding expected income for a respective gig-worker of the plurality of gig-workers over a period of time. Methods and systems described herein are directed to automatedly generating entity-specific notifications of a vehicle accident occurrence for entities. In response to a notification system receiving accident data, the system can determine characteristics for the accident occurrence. Using these characteristics, the system can then determine parameters for the notifications defining types of entities which ought to be recipients in accordance with the characteristics. The system can use these parameters to locate specific entities that match the parameters. Having determined the entities, the system can issue notifications to the entities, using templates specific to the entities and with accident characteristics added.

Automatic vehicle accident notifications within a distributed network of recipients

The present embodiments relate to automatic claim value generation. Particularly, the present embodiments include retrieving information from various sources and processing the data to derive an overview of damage to vehicles incurred during a vehicle accident, deriving an estimated value (or 'cost') to rectify the damage, and a client-specific claim value to be presented to the client representing a value to rectify the damage based on a policy corresponding to the client. The present embodiments provide an automated (or “touchless”) claim value payout system to provide a claim value specific to the client and the accident incurred by the client that is performed by a computing device without intervention by an operator.

Automatic generation of claim values in vehicle-related incidents using data from various sources

Insurance and warranty cataloging, detection and evaluation techniques are described for a micro insurance or warranty system. An example method for an insurance or warranty system includes receiving, at a server, an error code from a device of a user, processing the error code to extract sensor data related to one or more failed components of the device, determining the one or more failed components is covered within an insurance policy or warranty based on the sensor data, and issuing an insurance claim or warranty claim based on the one or more failed components being covered. In some embodiments, the micro insurance or warranty system includes analyzing the sensor data to determine the cause of the one or more failed components.

Micro insurance and warranty cataloging, detection and evaluation system

Methods and systems can protect information shown on a screen of a device. A user associated with the device can be authenticated, e.g., using photo identification of the user. In response to authenticating the user, data can be displayed on the device. A camera associated with the device can be automatically activated to take one or more images in response to a triggering event, a predetermined time interval, or randomly generated time intervals. An enhanced privacy environment is detected by analyzing the one or more images to identify that there are more than a threshold number of faces or people in the picture, or by identifying that the user is not in the picture based on a comparison of the picture to the photo identification of the user. In response to detecting the enhanced privacy environment, a privacy mode is enabled. The privacy mode can include various security measures such as concealing sensitive content or providing various security notifications.

Confidential information tracking system

An environment-transforming system transforms a user's environmental information in ways that allow the user to better perceive her environment. For example, the system transforms some aspects of a visual scene into a sound space for a visually impaired user. Once the user learns to interpret the sound space, she avoids walking into an object because a sound cue tells her that the object is in her near environment and roughly where it is. Various types of transformations are possible depending upon the user's needs and preferences. As all people are different, each user has a personalized profile that directs the transformation process. More generally, the environment to be transformed may include aspects of artificial or enhanced reality. The transformed environmental information can be presented to the user in a number of ways, such as in haptic feedback, as directional audio, through oral stimulation, or through modified visual display.
