Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may establish, using a first subscription of the UE, a first communication connection associated with a first service. The UE may establish, using a second subscription of the UE, a second communication connection associated with a second service. The UE may operate in a dual subscriber identity module (SIM) dual active (DSDA) mode based at least in part on establishing the first communication connection and establishing the second communication connection. The UE may perform an action to maintain concurrent services, including the first service and the second service, while operating in the DSDA mode. Numerous other aspects are described.

Maintaining concurrent services in a dual active mode

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may transmit assistance information to a base station to request an update or a modification to one or more communication parameters configured at the UE. Such communication parameters may include a quantity of uplink multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) layers, a quantity of downlink MIMO layers, a minimum scheduling offset, a maximum quantity of component carriers, or a maximum aggregated bandwidth for a secondary cell group (SCG). In some implementations, the UE may transmit the assistance information requesting the update or modification to one or more of such communication parameters based on detecting that the UE satisfies one or more triggering conditions or thresholds.

Techniques for providing assistance information for reduced MIMO layers

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for releasing an RRC connection by a user equipment (UE). A method that may be performed by the UE includes establishing an RRC connection, determining a time duration for a release timer, resetting the release timer, monitoring the RRC connection, and releasing the RRC connection.

The UE may transmit, via the subscription to the network node, an uplink transmission using one uplink MIMO layer on one transmit (Tx) chain of the UE based at least in part on the UAI and a timer associated with the UAI. An apparatus for wireless communication is provided. The apparatus is configured to obtain, based on a first mobile alert associated with a first subscriber identity module (SIM) being scheduled for broadcast from a first network, an indication of receiver resources assigned for receiving the first mobile alert associated with the first SIM. The apparatus is further configured to refrain, based at least in part on the indication, from receiving a second mobile alert associated with a second SIM scheduled for broadcast from a second network. The first mobile alert and the second mobile alert may be associated with messages from at least one of a CMAS or an ETWS.

The UE may transmit, to the base station, a feedback request message requesting that the base station provide feedback for at least one previously transmitted uplink packet based on a comparison of an amount of previously transmitted uplink data and scheduled uplink data stored in the modem buffer relative to the uplink buffer threshold. The UE may receive, based on transmitting the feedback request message, a feedback response message corresponding to a first previously transmitted uplink packet of the at least one previously transmitted uplink packet.
