A backlight module including a light source, an optical wavelength conversion film, a first group of optical films, and a second group of optical films is provided. The light source is adapted to emit a first light. The optical wavelength conversion film is adapted to convert the first light into a second light with a different wavelength. The first group of optical films is disposed between the light source and the optical wavelength conversion film. The optical wavelength conversion film is disposed between the first group of optical films and the second group of optical films, wherein a ratio of a transmittance of the second group of optical films for the second light to a transmittance of the first group of optical films for the first light is larger than or equal to 45%. Thus, the backlight module has a uniform light-emitting color.

Backlight module

A backlight module includes a reflecting base, a light source, at least one 3D optical control structure, and at least one illumination adjusting structure. The light source and the 3D optical control structure are disposed on the reflecting base, and the 3D optical control structure covers the light source. Each 3D optical control structure includes two sidewalls, and at least one of the sidewalls has at least one through-hole. The illumination adjusting structure is adjacent to the sidewall having the through-hole. A position of an orthogonal projection of the through-hole to the reflecting base is A, and a position where a normal line of the sidewall passing through the through-hole intersects the reflecting base is B. An illumination adjusting section is an area between A and B. The illumination adjusting structure is disposed in the illumination adjusting section.

A backlight module includes a light source and an optical film group. The light source is suitable for emitting a first light. The optical film group includes an optical wavelength conversion film, which is adapted to receive the first light and to convert the first light into a second light with different wavelength. The optical wavelength conversion film includes a first portion and a second portion, wherein a quantity of the first light received per unit area of the first portion of the optical wavelength conversion film is greater than a quantity of the first light received per unit area of the second portion of the optical wavelength conversion film. Furthermore, an optical wavelength conversion efficiency of the first portion of the optical wavelength conversion film with respect to the first light is smaller than an optical wavelength conversion efficiency of the second portion of the optical wavelength conversion film with respect to the first light.

A display device includes a backplate and a supporting member. The backplate has a positioning hole formed thereon. The positioning hole includes a first area and a second area arranged along a first direction; an average width of the second area in a direction perpendicular to the first direction is smaller than an average width of the first area in the direction perpendicular to the first direction. The supporting member includes a base, a positioning shaft and an engaging protrusion disposed on a bottom face of the base, wherein the positioning shaft includes an axle and a flange portion connected to an end of the axle. The flange portion passes through the first area so that the axle extends into the positioning hole; when the axle moves along the first direction to the second area, the flange portion interferes with a periphery of the second area, the engaging protrusion contacts against an inner wall of the first area to prevent the axle from moving back to the first area.

Display device and assembling method thereof

A backlight module including a carrier plate, a plurality of light sources, at least one low reflective portion, and a modulation film is provided. The carrier plate has a carrier surface carrying the light sources while the low reflective portion is disposed on the carrier surface between an outer light source and a side edge of the carrier plate. The reflectance of the low reflective portion is less than that of the carrier surface. The modulation film is disposed above the light sources while the low reflective portion has a projection area on the modulation film. The projection area has a lower normalized transmission ratio comparing to adjacent areas along an extending direction of the side edge of the carrier plate.

Backlight module with light uniform design

Alight source module includes a substrate, multiple light sources disposed on the substrate, and multiple three-dimensional optical control structures located above the light sources. Each optical control structure includes a top portion disposed corresponding to the light source and has multiple top light transmissive patterns, a first side portion, and a second side portion. A total area of top light transmissive patterns within a top region divided by an area of the top region is T. The first and second side portions are respectively connected to the top portion, and each has multiple side light transmissive patterns. A total area of multiple side light transmissive patterns within a side region divided by an area of the side region is S. The patterns satisfy: 0.3&#xd7;(B/A)&#x3c;S/T&#x3c;0.6&#xd7;(B/A), where A represents a width of the top portion, and B represents a distance between an optical control structure and an adjacent optical control structure.

Light source module

A display device includes a light source having a light emitting side, a partition plate disposed adjacent to the light emitting side and having light-emitting through holes distributed thereon, and a display panel having a light incident bottom surface and disposed at an opposite side of the partition plate with regard to the light source; the light incident bottom surface faces the partition plate. The light incident bottom surface has a first and a second area, the first and the second area project on the partition plate, respectively, to form a first and a second projection area. The first and the second area are away from the first and the second projection area by a first and a second average distance smaller than the first average distance. An average pitch of the light-emitting through holes in the first projection area is greater than that in the second projection area.

Display device

A backlight module and a display device including the backlight module are provided. The backlight module includes a reflective plate and a plurality of light sources, wherein the reflective plate has a reflective surface and the light sources are disposed on the reflective surface generating light in a direction away from the reflective surface. The reflecting surface includes a plurality of low reflection portions, wherein the reflectivity of the low reflection portion is lower than the reflectivity of other positions on the reflective surface. The low reflection portions are disposed between the light source and adjacent light sources.

Backlight module and display device thereof

A method of determining driving currents of a backlight module includes: disposing the backlight module onto a base; defining a plurality of areas from a top area to a bottom are of the backlight module; and reducing the driving current of the area that is situated further from the base.

Backlight module and method of determining driving current thereof

An edge-type backlight module includes a back bezel, a light guide plate (LGP), a light source, and a frame. The back bezel includes a supporting portion that has a light source supporting surface and an LGP supporting surface. A horizontal level of the light source supporting surface is lower than that of the LGP supporting surface. The LGP is configured on the LGP supporting surface and has a light-incident side surface and a top light-emitting surface. The light source is configured on the light source supporting surface to provide a light beam. The frame is configured on the back bezel and leans against the LGP. The frame has a reflective surface located on a transmission path of the light beam to reflect the light beam, and the reflected light beam enters the LGP from the light-incident side surface.

Edge-type backlight module

A light source module and a backlight module therewith are disclosed. The light source includes a circuit board and a light-emitting diode disposed on the circuit board. The light-emitting diode includes a package unit and a conductive support. The package unit includes an insulation housing, a heat-dissipating support embedded in the insulation housing, and a light-emitting diode chip disposed on the heat-dissipating support and encapsulated by the insulation housing. The light-emitting diode chip includes two electrodes, which are isolated form the heat-dissipating support. The insulation housing thereon defines a light-out surface. The conductive support is disposed on an exterior side surface of the insulation housing and connected to the heat-dissipating support to protrude out the light-out surface. Thereby, the protruding conductive support is also isolated from the two electrodes so as to perform ESD protection for avoiding unexpected damage to the light-emitting diode and extending service life thereof.
