An engine control apparatus and an engine control method for a vehicle are disclosed. The engine control apparatus includes: an integrated thermal management valve in which an opening degree of a plurality of valves is adjusted by rotation of a cam; a storage to store an opening degree of the integrated thermal management valve based on a road slope and a transmission gear value; and a controller that controls the opening degree of the integrated thermal management valve by using an engine revolutions per minute (RPM) and an accelerator pedal value. In particular, when the accelerator pedal value is smaller than a predetermined threshold, the controller controls the opening degree of the integrated thermal management valve based on the road slope and the transmission gear value.

Apparatus for controlling engine and method thereof

An engine cooling system has a coolant control valve unit and includes a cylinder head disposed on a cylinder block. The coolant control valve unit is configured to receive coolant from a coolant outlet side of the cylinder head to control coolant distributed to a heater and a radiator and to control coolant exhausted from the cylinder block. A control unit is configured to determine a heating priority mode according to operation conditions and to substantially open a first coolant passage corresponding to the heater by controlling the coolant control valve unit in the heating priority mode.

An apparatus for controlling an engine and a method thereof are provided. The apparatus includes an integrated thermal management (ITM) that adjusts opening of a plurality of valves as a cam rotates and a storage that stores a table for differential pressure between a front end and a rear end of each of the plurality of valves, based on an engine revolution per minute (RPM) and an ITM angle. A controller determines a state of the ITM and adjusts opening degrees of the plurality of valves depending on the differential pressure of the valve, based on the differential pressure table based on the state of the ITM.

The present invention relates to an intake manifold for a vehicle and comprises tanks for stabilizing intaken air introduced from a throttle body; a plurality of zip tubes diverged from the tanks; a plurality of runners connected to the zip tubes and communicated with respective cylinders; and a adjustment apparatus provided at one side of the zip tubes and the runners for varying the diameter of the zip tube and the diameter of the runner according to an engine operation range. Due to the above structure, the diameter of the zip tube and the diameter of the runner can be varied continuously within the overall operating range of an engine by the adjustment apparatus. Hence, the performance of the engine can be enhanced.

Intake manifold for vehicle

An oil filter assembly includes a filter housing, an oil filter unit, and a drain valve unit. The filter housing is provided with an oil inflow passageway through which oil is supplied into the filter housing from an oil pan, an oil exhaust passageway communicating with a main oil gallery, and an oil drain passageway through which oil is drained to the oil pan. The oil filter unit is disposed within the filter housing to filter the oil flowing into the filter housing. The drain valve unit is configured to selectively close the oil exhaust passageway and the oil drain passageway in response to whether the oil filter unit is disposed within the filter housing or whether the oil filter is removed from the filter housing.
