The invention refers to a seal for bearing spaces, wall channels for shafts and the like, where the seal is fitted to the shaft. The seal is characterized in that it incorporates a sheet metal strutting projecting radially outwards, and on the side facing away from the space intended to be sealed off being equipped with mainly radially extending vanes, the radial extension of which mainly coincide with the radial extension of the sheet metal strutting.

Seal

The invention refers to a seal for self-aligning spherical rolling bearings. It is characterized therein that it incorporates two cooperating annular and mainly radially directed plates affixed to one ring each. One of the plates is equipped with at least one annular sealing lip, which exerts a mainly axial pressure against the second plate.

The invention refers to a hub bearing unit for vehicles, trailers and the like incorporating two rows (4) of rolling bodies with a common outer ring (5). On the outer race ring (5) is arranged a flange (6) for mounting the unit and arranged symmetrically relative to the rows of rolling bodies (4). The flange (6) is provided with attachments holes (7) and lugs (8) adjacent these, whereby the side surfaces of the lugs (8) are in level with the side (10) of the outer race ring (5), which shall engage the attachment surface of the vehicle, the trailer or the like.

Hub bearing unit

The invention pertains to a hub bearing unit for vehicles, trailers and the like, which unit comprises an inner race ring, an outer race ring (1) and rolling bodies disposed therebetween, whereby the inner and the outer race ring (1) respectively are mounted to the wheel and to the vehicle. The invention is characterized by a ball joint (7) which cooperates with the suspension attachment (3) of the vehicle and is arranged directly onto or in the outer race ring (1).

The invention refers to a ball joint for suspension of wheels of motor cars and the like. It is characterized thereby that the attachment portion which extends from the very ball is designed with or provided with a fixed mounting flange.

The invention relates to a means for mounting a hub bearing unit to the spring strut (13) of a vehicle. The means is characterized thereby that it (11) incorporated an open, box-like end, which is intended to be thread over the hub bearing unit and to be connected to this by means of bolts (7). The hub bearing unit thereby will be connected to the mounting means at both sides (10).

Means for mounting a hub bearing unit to a vehicle

The invention relates to a device for providing a friction joint by pressing a number of first elements against a second element by means of a pressure medium acting on said first elements. In order to obtain an improved ability of transmitting a torque and an improved stability regarding radial load, said first elements are so arranged that they encircle or are encircled by said second element and are acted upon by a number of mutually independent portions of the pressure medium, each portion acting on its own element.

Device for proving a friction joint

A bearing assembly rotatably supporting a shaft journal having a gear wheel at one end in a cylindrical seat in a housing comprising a one-piece outer ring having threads on its outer periphery cooperating with threads in the cylindrical seat. A plurality of circumferentially spaced openings are provided in the outer axial end face of the outer ring to accommodate a turning tool having projections corresponding to the openings to permit axial adjusting movement of the bearing assembly relative to the housing. The bearing assembly further includes an inner race ring on the shaft journal, two rows of rolling elements in the annular space between the rings spaced closely relative to one another. One of the rows comprises rollers having axes inclined at an angle to the bearing axis disposed adjacent the gear wheel and the other row comprises balls which roll against raceways in the rings to provide angular contact which are disposed at the opposite end of the shaft journal.

Device for axial adjustment of a rotatable body

The combination comprising a housing, a shaft journal having a gear wheel at one end, and a bearing assembly rotatably supporting the shaft journal in a cylindrical seat in the housing. The assembly includes a one-piece outer ring having threads on its outer periphery cooperating with threads in the cylindrical seat. The outer ring is rotatable to permit axial adjusting movement of the bearing assembly relative to the housing. The bearing includes two rows of rolling bodies in the annular space between the rings spaced closely relative to one another and an inner race ring on the shaft journal for each of the rows of rolling bodies. One of the rows comprises rollers having axes inclined at an angle to the bearing axis disposed adjacent the gear wheel and the other row of rolling bodies comprises balls which roll against raceways in the ring to provide angular contact disposed at the opposite end of the shaft journal. A locking member engages the threads of the outer ring to permit axial adjustment thereof relative to the housing and abutts the housing to lock the outer ring in a predetermined axial position in the housing.

Rolling bearing

Device for locking a male element such as a shaft engaging in the bore of a female element such as a wheel hub against axial displacement. An annular groove is provided in the bore of the female member and has a first annular surface engageable by an elastically deformable locking ring mounted on a reduced section of the shaft member. A displaceable member such as a nut is moveable relative to the shaft member and has a second surface engageable with the locking ring. At least one of the surfaces is tapered so that upon movement of the surfaces toward one another, the locking ring is displaced radially outwardly to engage in the groove and lock the elements together.

In a bearing assembly having at least two relatively rotatable members, a device having means for generating a magnetic field and means for sensing variation in the magnetic field, said bearing assembly including means for inducing variations in the magnetic flux which variations have a frequency proportional to the rotational speed of one member relative to other member, said inducing means being associated with one of said members and said means for sensing variations being associated with said other bearing member and seal means partly defined by said members completely sealing said inducing and sensing means.

A wheel and bearing unit for a vehicle comprising inner and outer rings in between which two rows of rolling bodies and sealing means are applied. The outer or inner ring is connected to a member of a brake device while the inner forms a connecting means for the wheel and a shaft. The unit is characterized in that the wheel is mainly a conical shaped disc one side of which is smooth while the other side is provided with connecting means for connecting the disc to the bearing inner ring and brake device parts. The disc is further provided with air cooling apertures having edges which can lead cooling air streams mainly in the direction of the brake device.
