A laminated fabric material includes a fabric material and a substantially gas impermeable film laminated to the fabric material, the film having an inner, fabric-facing surface and an outer surface, wherein the outer surface includes a fluoropolymer treated surface.

Fabric material and process for preparing same

A high strength, high modulus structural fabric product and the method of manufacturing the product are disclosed. The incorporation of a specific fiber/fabric treatment coupled with a resin impregnation and coating process produces a composite material. This composite material comprises high strength and modulus fibers embedded in and linked to a matrix. The resulting fabric product is useable in the formation of seamed structures, which carry and distribute high-level loads under extreme environmental conditions.

A water resistant slide fastener, including a pair of stringer tapes each having first and second opposed surfaces and each having a series of gripper elements positioned along edges of said first surface; and a water resistant layer on said second surfaces, wherein said water resistant layer has an adhesion to said stringer tapes of at least about 6 lb/in.

A process for preparing a polyurethane coated fabric includes the steps of providing a fabric; providing a sheet of polyurethane film; wiping a surface of the polyurethane film with a bonding material so as to provide the polyurethane film with a bonding material wiped surface; and laminating the polyurethane film to the fabric with the bonding material wiped surface contacting the fabric so as to provide polyurethane coated fabric.
