Methods and systems for aided target shooting are disclosed, including providing a lighted target aide having a target aide body having a light source; a power source at least partially disposed within the target aide body and switchably coupled to the light source; and an insertion member coupled to the target aide body, wherein the insertion member is configured to removably couple the lighted target aide to a target; placing the lighted target aide in an illuminated state; attaching the lighted target aide to the target by inserting the insertion member into the target or attaching the insertion member to the target; and using light emitted from the lighted target aide as a guide when shooting an arrow or ammunition to the target. Methods and systems for illuminating an arrow nock or bolt end are disclosed, including providing a lighted nock having: a nock body which has a portion for attachment to an arrow or shaft and a slotted proximate end adapted to receive a bowstring; and a detent member, a luminous assembly, and a push member all of which are at least partially disposed within the nock body, wherein the push member comprises a recess and at least a portion of the push member protrudes into the proximate end; attaching the lighted nock to the bowstring, thereby releasing the portion of the detent member from within the recess of the push member; drawing the bowstring; and releasing the bowstring, thereby withdrawing the bowstring from the slot, and illuminating the nock. Lighted nock device

Methods and systems for illuminating an arrow nock or bolt end are disclosed, including providing a nock having a nock body comprising an arrow or shaft attachment portion and a slot adapted to receive a bowstring; and a luminous assembly at least partially disposed within the nock body, wherein the luminous assembly comprises a power source, a light source, and a switch, and alternately activated or deactivated by depressing and releasing of the light source. Devices and methods for illuminating an arrow nock or bolt end are disclosed. A lighted nock has a nock body that includes an arrow attachment portion and a proximate end having a portion adapted to receive a bowstring in a drawn position. A light source assembly is at least partially disposed within the nock body. The light source assembly includes a slide switch operably connected to a light source and a power source. The light source is activated when the bowstring is released from the drawn position, thereby causing the slide switch to move away from the proximate end and close an electrical circuit formed by the light source and the power source.

Device and method for illuminating an arrow nock

Devices and methods for illuminating an arrow nock or bolt end are disclosed including providing a nock having a first portion adapted to receive the bowstring in a drawn position and a second portion adapted to receive the bowstring after the bowstring is released from the drawn position; a light source assembly at least partially disposed within the nock body and activated when the bowstring is released from the drawn position; the light source assembly comprising a power source, a light source and a switch; and a least a portion of the light source assembly protruding from the end of the nock body so that releasing the bowstring causes the switch to close, thereby activating the light source and illuminating the nock or bolt end. An opacity changing peep sight device is disclosed wherein the peep sight comprises a photochromic substance sensitive to UV light. When there is plenty of available UV light, the peep sight becomes substantially opaque. When there is little available UV light, the peep sight becomes substantially translucent.
