A safety syringeincludes a generally tubular bodyhaving a needle endand plunger end, needleand retractable needle seat, two-way valve, plunger, stopper, piston, and rear plunger seal. During use, the plunger may be moved to create a vacuum in the plunger. The user then moves the plunger toward the needle end, pressurizing a vial, then pulls backward to a selected position corresponding to the desired volume of fluid to be withdrawn. At the conclusion of the injection stroke, the piston is disengaged from the plunger. The vacuum within the plunger retracts the needle safely into the tubular body.

Disposable safety syringe

An eye viewing device with a housing having a center opening containing a magnifying lens and a reflective surface. The housing has outwardly extending hinge flanges. A cover overlies the central opening, and includes an outer abutment surface and an inclined outwardly extending hinge body. The housing hinge flanges and cover hinge body cooperate to provide a hinge joint. The hinge flanges include end portions with hinge contact points which cooperate with a cover contact point to provide a stand for the device when the cover is rotated about the hinge joint until the cover abutment surface and housing underside are in contact.

Ophthalmic self-inspection device

The present invention discloses a method, apparatus and system for electromechanical liquid dispensing. The system includes a bottle for holding liquid to be dispensed, the bottle having an inlet port and an outlet port, a one-way outlet valve on the outlet port through which liquid is dispensed from the bottle, and an electronic control system for controlling dispensement of the liquid from the outlet port such that a controlled quantity of liquid is dispensed.

The blood sampling assembly includes a retractable double-ended needle so that a vial may be passed through an opposed end of the needle to obtain a blood sample. The assembly includes a hollow cylinder including circumferentially spaced seat tabs which allow a needle seat and the needle supported thereon to be released upon rotation of tube with respect to hollow cylinder. The extractor assembly includes a stopper for maintaining a vacuum within tube to withdraw the needle to a retracted position within the tube upon rotation of the tube, the end cap, and the stopper retainer. A stopper tab positioner rotationally connects the stopper to the cylinder.
