A method for making an electrode assembly comprises overlaying an electrode on an electrode support, the electrode comprising a plurality of openings extending at least partially through a thickness of the electrode; supporting the electrode support with a jaw body; stitching a filament made of electrically insulative material comprising a first inset segment and exposed segment into a first opening of the plurality of openings such that the first inset segment is positioned in the first opening and at least a portion of the exposed segment is positioned to overlie an exposed working surface of the electrode; and affixing at least an end portion of the first inset segment of the filament to the electrode, electrode support, and/or the jaw body.

An electrode assembly comprises an electrode support, an electrode on the electrode support, the electrode having a working surface extending generally transverse to a thickness of the electrode, and a filament of electrically insulative material overlying a portion of the working surface of the electrode and at least partially extending through the thickness of the electrode. Systems and methods for multilayered resource scheduling are provided. A system may include a user interface, an upper level scheduler, at least one lower level scheduler, and a reporting module. The user interface may receive a plurality of tasks. The upper level scheduler may sort the plurality of tasks into tasks with identical resource requirements. The lower level scheduler may be operable to receive resource requirements associated with a task. The lower level scheduler may ascertain compute resources sufficient to execute the task on a machine in a compute farm and advertise the compute resources as matching the resource requirements. The lower level scheduler may further receive a request to execute the task on the machine. The compute resources may be controlled to execute the tasks with the identical resource requirements without further scheduling operations. The lower level scheduler may control the compute resources to execute the task.

Multilayered resource scheduling

An integrated circuit (IC) chip having repeaters for propagating signals along relatively long wires that extend between and among lower-level physical blocks of the IC chip, wherein the repeaters are implemented as clocked flip-flops (or 'repeater flops'). A method for automatically inserting and allocating such repeater flops during the logical and physical design of the IC chip is also provided.

In one implementation, a conference bridge connects endpoints in a media conference. The various endpoints may have a wide range of video capabilities and audio capabilities. The video conference bridge learns the video capabilities of the endpoints and formulates a media plan based on these capabilities. The media plan instructs the endpoints on the types of media streams to produce. The video conference bridge may shape a media stream received from one of the endpoints by removing one or more layers. Accordingly, each endpoint decodes only the media streams that can be encoded by another endpoint and receives the best possible media stream from each endpoint.

In one embodiment, a system includes a video multipoint control unit (MCU) and an audio conferencing bridge, the audio conferencing bridge being operable to receive audio streams from audio-only and video endpoints, and to negotiate video sessions between each of the video endpoints and the video MCU. In response to detecting when one of the video endpoints is an active speaker, the audio conferencing bridge transmitting a dummy audio stream over a dummy audio channel from the audio conferencing bridge to the video MCU. The dummy audio stream causes the video MCU to switch an image in a video output stream. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract that will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure.

Integration of audio conference bridge with video multipoint control unit

Embodiments of a method for detecting potential areas of inductive coupling in a high density integrated circuit design are described. The inductance mitigation process first converts the inductive analysis into a density problem. The density of wires within a region that may switch within a portion of the system clock are compared to the density of wires will not switch within that same time. Regions of the chip that have a high ratio of density of switching wires versus non-switching wires are determined to have the potential of an inductive coupling problem. Additional grounded metal is added into the problematic regions of the chip to improve the switching versus non-switching wire density.

Inductance mitigation through switching density analysis

A network and method for interconnecting a plurality of router elements in a parallel computer. The network forms a routing system for routing data from source processing elements to destination processing elements. The input lines and output lines of each router chip are prioritized. Higher priority output lines from a given output group of a first routing element are connected to low priority input lines of a second routing element and lower priority output lines from the output group of the first rotating element are connected to higher priority input lines of the second routing element.
