What is proposed is a vehicle roof which has a cover element which can be used to selectively close or at least partially expose a roof opening and which, with respect to a vertical vehicle longitudinal center plane, has a control mechanism for the cover element on each of the two sides, said control mechanism comprising a drive carriage which can be moved in a respective roof-mounted guide rail and controls a pivoting and/or displacement of the cover element, wherein the drive carriages are each connected to a pressure-resistant drive cable which can be driven by means of a drive motor. At least one of the control mechanisms has an initialization stop which, in a front or a rear end position of the cover element, engages in a corresponding guide rail cutout whose edge forms a counter-stop for the initialization stop.

The invention relates to a roof structure with a roof cutout for a sliding-lifting roof or an outer sliding-lifting roof. A roof cutout seal is provided, which encircles the roof cutout and which seals a roof skin against a sliding-lifting roof or an outer sliding-lifting roof. A roof stop () i.e. a strip () serving as a drip strip or drip projection is provided in the area of an edge () of the roof skin () delimiting the roof cutout (). A mechanism for a wind deflector of a motor vehicle roof is provided which includes a raising lever which is moved in a raising direction by means of a spring. A displacement of a back edge of the wind deflector in a lengthwise direction is balanced during the swiveling motion by means of a compensation device. A spring is used directly as the compensation device.

The invention relates to a motor vehicle roof having at least one cover that can be moved and raised on its rear edge via with a control mechanism. The control mechanism has a rear lifting and displacement mechanism that is coupled near the rear edge of the cover to said mechanism. The control mechanism also comprises at least one control carriage that is connected to the cover, which can be driven and movably guided in lateral guide rails. To increase protection against ejection of the cover, the movable part of the lifting and displacement mechanism and the part that is connected to the cover have locking elements. A device for actuating an angularly displaceable motor vehicle element such as a tailgate element, especially a rear spoiler having an arrangement for displacing it between a retracted rest position and a raised working position and in which a control element (13, 16) interacts with cam track (7) based on linear relative motion between them parallel to the first swivel axis (18) of a motor vehicle element (3) as the element is actuated. To ensure complex motion of the vehicle element (3) in a small installation space for this actuating device, it is provided that the control element is a first pivoted lever (13) which rides on a curved cam track (7) and which has one end pivotally mounted above the cam track (7) on the underside of the vehicle element (3) for rotation around a first pivot axis (18), and an opposite end which is located below the cam track (7) away from the vehicle element (3) for rotation around a first pivoted lever axis (15) that is parallel to the first pivot axis (18), and there is also provided a second pivoted lever (19) which does not engage the cam track (7) and which is pivotally mounted at one end on the underside of the vehicle element (3) for rotation around a second pivot axis (23) that is offset in a lateral direction relative to the first pivot axis (18) and is parallel to it, and which has its opposite end pivotally mounted for rotation around a second pivoted lever axis (20) that is offset in the same lateral direction as the second pivot axis and is parallel to the second pivot axis (15).

Device for actuating a motor vehicle tailgate

An openable vehicle roof with a cover, by which a roof opening can be alternately closed or at least partially opened. By a flexible screen, a visible gap on each lateral side, resulting from the pivoting out of the cover above a fixed roof panel, is covered. The top end of the screen is connected to the cover near a respective side edge of the cover, and its bottom end is supported to slide lengthwise in a guideway connected to the fixed roof panel. By the construction of the screen, a simple installation and a space-saving arrangement is made possible.
