An absorbent article having a longitudinal direction, a transverse direction and a thickness direction and comprising a topsheet, a backsheet and an absorbent core is disclosed. The article has, in the longitudinal direction, a front portion, a back portion, and a crotch portion located between the front and rear portions. The front and back portions define a waist edge and a leg edge, and the crotch portion defines two crotch edges. A first elastic element extends along the waist edge, a second elastic element extends along the leg edge and a third and a fourth elastic element each extend along one of the crotch edges. The topsheet or the bottomsheet or another sheet is folded along the waist edge, leg edge and crotch edges so as to enclose at least a part of each corresponding elastic element.

A male incontinence guard having a fluid-impermeable backsheet, a fluid-permeable topsheet facing the user and an absorbent body arranged between the backsheet and the topsheet. The guard has a longitudinal extension along a longitudinal axis and a transverse extension along a transverse axis. The transverse axis divides the guard into an upper region and a lower region. The transverse axis extends between first and second lower corner points which define the two outermost points of the guard, which define a first width. The upper region has an inwardly recessed curvature portion extending between first and second upper corner points. The upper corner points define a second width such that the first width is greater than the second width. The corner points are connected by their respective outer side edges. An absorbent hygiene article for placement in underwear is provided, including a liquid permeable topsheet, a backsheet and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet. The topsheet is of a translucent material and is provided with a colored pattern defining at least one background region and at least one colored region having a first inherent color. The topsheet-facing side of the backsheet has a second color; and a background region located in an inner area has a higher L*-value than a background region located in the edge area.

A pant-type absorbent article includes a front and a back portion, longitudinally extending side seams and a connecting portion between the front and back portions. The connecting portion forms a crotch region and leg openings. Part of the front portion, back portion, and the connecting portion is made of an elastic laminate extending transversely across the front, back and connecting portions. Elongated leg elastic members extend along the leg openings in at least part of the connecting portion and terminate at a distance from the respective side seam thus leaving an area corresponding to a peripheral length of at least 50 mm along the respective leg opening where the leg elastic members are absent and wherein the connecting portion in the area where the leg elastic members are absent is made of the elastic laminate in at least 90% of the peripheral length.
