A spandrel including a first substrate, an intermediate film made of polymer material, and a second, opaque substrate, such that the first substrate is coated with at most two layers which are deposited on the surface located on the side facing the intermediate film made of polymer material and which include at least one upper dielectric layer.

Spandrel

A coated glass sheet including a glass substrate and a UV reflecting coating on at least one major surface of the glass substrate. The UV reflecting coating consists of first, second, and third layers in this order moving away from the glass substrate, where the first and third layers include a dielectric material selected from the group consisting of a mixed oxide of titanium and zirconium, and a mixed nitride of zirconium and silicon, and the second layer includes silicon oxide SiOx.

Temperable UV reflecting coated glass sheet

The invention concerns reflective opaque panels that can be used as facing panels or decorative panels. They consist of a substrate coated with a stack of layers comprising, in the following order, at least (i) a transparent substrate (S), (ii) a first dielectric layer which is a high refractive index dielectric layer (H), (iii) a second dielectric layer which is a low refractive index dielectric layer (L), and (vi) a single chromium-based layer.

Reflective panel

A heat treatable solar control glazing showing low-emissivity properties, and possibly also anti-solar properties, and methods to manufacture such a glazing. The glazing comprises a transparent substrate coated with a stack of thin layers comprising n functional layer(s) reflecting infrared radiation and n+1 dielectric layers, with n&#x2265;1, each functional layer being surrounded by dielectric layers. At least one dielectric layer above a functional layer comprises a layer consisting essentially of silicon oxide deposited by PECVD, and the stack comprises a barrier layer based on zinc oxide above and in direct contact with any functional layer which has a silicon oxide layer in the dielectric layer directly above it.

Solar control glazing

The invention relates to heat treatable solar control glazing showing low-emissivity properties, and possibly also anti-solar properties and methods to manufacture such glazing. They comprise a transparent substrate coated with a stack of thin layers comprising n functional layer(s) reflecting infrared radiation and n+1 dielectric layers, with n&#x2265;1, each functional layer being surrounded by dielectric layers. At least one dielectric layer above a functional layer comprises a layer consisting essentially of silicon oxide, preferably deposited by PECVD, and the stack comprises a barrier layer based on zinc oxide above and in direct contact with any functional layer which has a silicon oxide layer in the dielectric layer directly above it.

The invention relates to solar control glazing comprising, on at least one of the surfaces of a glass substrate, a system of layers including at least one solar-radiation-absorbing layer and dielectric layers surrounding said solar-radiation-absorbing layer. According to the invention, the solar-radiation-absorbing layer is a metal layer based on tungsten alloyed with at least nickel. The layer system comprises: between the substrate and the metal layer, at least one layer of a dielectric material based on oxide, nitride or oxynitride of silicon or aluminum, or mixed aluminum/silicon nitrides; and, on top of the solar-radiation-absorbing layer, at least one layer of a dielectric material based on one of said compounds.

The invention relates to a solar protection glazing comprising, on at least one of the faces of a glass substrate, a multi-layer stack comprising at least one layer absorbing solar radiation of at least 3 nm and dielectric coatings surrounding said solar radiation absorbing layer. According to the invention, the light reflection of the glass substrate coated with the multi-layer stack, measured on the substrate side, is at least 20% and is at least two times the light reflection of the glass substrate coated with the multi-layer stack measured on the stack side, and the reflection color on the substrate side has a colorimetric coordinate value a* of less than 2 and a colorimetric coordinate value b* of less than 5. The invention is particularly useful as an automobile glazing, in particular on the roof thereof, as a building glazing or as a household oven.

Solar protection glazing

The invention relates to solar-control transparent glazing comprising, on a glass substrate, a transparent multilayer stack including an alternation of n silver-based functional layers and n+1 dielectric coatings, where n&#x2267;1, such that each functional layer is surrounded by dielectric coatings, and at least one solar-radiation-absorbing layer enclosed between two dielectric layers formed by a material selected from among aluminum or silicon nitrides or mixtures thereof, inside one of the dielectric coatings. At least one functional layer is disposed on top of the so-called absorbent layer, and an intermediate transparent oxide layer selected from among oxides of zinc, tin, zirconium, titanium or alloys of same and a zinc oxide-based wetting layer are disposed between the absorbent layer and the functional layer, the intermediate transparent oxide layer having a different composition from that of the wetting layer, said wetting layer being immediately next to the functional layer.

Antisolar glazing

The invention relates to low-emissivity and anti-solar glazing systems that change only very little in properties when they are subjected to a heat treatment. They comprise a stack of thin layers comprising an alternating arrangement of n infrared radiation reflecting functional layers and n+1 dielectric coatings, and a barrier layer directly superposed on the last functional layer furthest away from the substrate, characterized in that: (i) the first dielectric coating closest to the substrate comprises a layer made from an oxide, in direct contact with the substrate, (ii) the internal dielectric coating or coatings surrounded by two functional layers comprise a layer made from a silicon nitride or a silicon oxide with a thickness greater than 5 nm surrounded on both sides by layers made from an oxide other than silicon oxide with thicknesses greater than 5 nm, (iii) the barrier layer is based on zinc oxide or consists of an indium oxide possibly doped with tin, and (iv) the last dielectric coating furthest away from the substrate comprises, in order starting from the substrate: a layer made from an oxide other than silicon oxide with a thickness greater than 3 nm and a layer made from a silicon nitride or a silicon oxide with a thickness greater than 10 nm.

Low-emissivity and anti-solar glazing

The invention relates to low-emissivity and anti-solar glazing systems that change only very little in properties when they are subjected to a heat treatment. They comprise a stack of thin layers comprising an alternating arrangement of n infrared radiation reflecting functional layers and n+1 dielectric coatings, characterized in that: (i) the first dielectric coating comprises a layer made from an oxide in contact with the substrate, (ii) the portion of the coating stack between two functional layers comprises, in order: a barrier layer, a zinc oxide-based layer, a layer of zinc-tin mixed oxide, a nucleation layer, and (iii) the last dielectric coating comprises a layer made from an oxide other than silicon oxide with a thickness greater than 3 nm overlaid with a layer made from a silicon nitride or a silicon oxide with a thickness greater than 10 nm superposed thereon.

The invention relates to a solar control glass panel comprising, on at least one of the surfaces of a glass substrate, a multilayer stack including at least one solar radiation absorption layer, and dielectric coatings surrounding said solar radiation absorption layer. According to the invention, the solar radiation absorption layer is a metal alloy layer made from zirconium and chromium. The multilayer stack includes, between the substrate and the solar radiation absorption layer, as well as on top of the solar radiation absorption layer, at least one coating made of a dielectric material made from a compound selected from among silicon oxide, aluminum oxide, silicon nitride, aluminum nitride, mixed aluminum/silicon nitrides, silicon oxynitride, and aluminum oxynitride. The invention is particularly useful as a motor vehicle glass panel, particularly for the roof, as a building glass panel, or as a household stove door.

Glass panel comprising a solar control layer

The invention relates to a method for producing metal or semiconductor oxide, nitride or oxynitride films on a substrate, by means of the PECVD method, including the steps that involve: (i) having a low-pressure PECVD device including at least one plasma source that includes at least one electrode connected to an AC, DC, or drawn DC generator for depositing said films on the substrate; and (ii) applying electrical power to the plasma source and applying, on the substrate, an oxide film gas precursor made of metal or semiconductor nitrides or oxynitrides and a reactive gas made of oxygen, oxygen derivatives, or nitrogen derivatives. The invention also relates to metal or semiconductor oxide, nitride, or oxynitride films obtained by the method.

Method for depositing layers on a glass substrate by means of low-pressure PECVD

The invention concerns reflective opaque panels that can be used as facing panels or decorative panels. They consist of a substrate coated with a stack of layers comprising, in the following order, at least (i) a transparent substrate, (ii) a first chromium layer, (iii) a dielectric layer in direct contact with the first chromium layer, and (iv) a second chromium layer, in direct contact with the dielectric layer.

The invention relates to a glass substrate with interference coloration for a facing panel, comprising a glass sheet covered on one of the faces thereof by a stack of coatings including successively at least: a first transparent coating made from a dielectric material having an optical thickness at least greater than or equal to 5 nm and at most less than or equal to 258 nm; a semi-transparent functional coating having a geometric thickness at least greater than or equal to 0.1 nm and at most less than or equal to 50 nm; a second transparent coating made from a dielectric material and having an optical thickness at least greater than or equal to 20 nm and at most less than or equal to 300 nm; and a coating providing opacity or quasi-opacity and having a geometric thickness at least greater than or equal to 30 nm.
