A separation unit for separating a web material along preformed lines of weakness. The separation unit has a width direction and includes a first roller having a rotational axis extending in the width direction and a web width extending in the width direction, and a second roller having a rotational axis extending parallel with the rotational axis of the first roller and a web width extending in the width direction. The second roller is positioned at a distance from the first roller. Each of the first and the second rollers is provided with a plurality of protrusion elements being spaced along the rotational axes and protruding perpendicular from the axes. Each of the protrusion elements has a maximum width in the width direction, a maximum radial extension from the rotational axes, an inner portion adjacent to the rotational axes, and an outer portion remote from the rotational axes.

Separation unit and a dispenser comprising a separation unit

A separation unit for separating a web material along preformed lines of weakness. The separation unit has a width direction and includes at least a first roller having a rotational axis extending in the width direction and a web width extending in the width direction, and at least a second roller having a rotational axis extending parallel with the rotational axis of the first roller and a web width extending in the width direction. The second roller is positioned at a distance from the first roller. Each of the first and the second rollers is provided with at least one protrusion element extending perpendicularly from the axes. Each of the protrusion elements has a maximum width in the width direction, a maximum radial extension from the rotational axes, an inner portion adjacent to the rotational axes, and an outer portion remote from the rotational axes.

A dispenser includes: a housing having a support axis for accommodating and rotatably supporting the paper roll, a brake shoe having a contact surface configured to abut at a face side of the paper roll and movably attached relative to the housing for adjustment of a braking force, and an elastic member urging the brake shoe in a direction toward the face side of the paper roll and having an adjustable elastic force that adjusts the braking force. The contact surface may have at least a first contact area closer to a tip of the support axis in an axial direction of the support axis and further away from the support axis in a radial direction and a second contact area further away from the tip of the support axis in the axial direction and closer to the support axis in the radial direction to provide a braking force decreasing with a decreasing diameter of the roll.

Dispenser for dispensing a paper roll

Dispenser includes housing for at least two rolls of tissue paper, access opening in housing, and closure selectively closing a portion of access opening. Closure includes body, first wall movably connected to body at first edge of first wall; and second wall movably connected to body at first edge of second wall. First and second wall are urged toward each other to respectively position second edges of first and second walls opposite to first edges in a blocking position in which sliding of closure into first or second position is blocked until a predetermined amount of paper of second or first roll, respectively, has been dispensed. Closure includes first and second spring urging first and second walls, respectively, toward each other, spring force of first and second springs being configured to automatically return closure into first or second position, respectively, when sliding of the closure into first or second position, respectively, is blocked.

Dispenser for rolls

A dispensing unit and a dispenser are provided. The dispenser is adapted for the use with continuous web material. The dispensing unit includes a first roller arranged to rotate about a first axis and a second roller arranged to rotate about a second axis. A web path is provided through the dispensing unit and a portion of the web path consists of a web passage defined between the first roller and the second roller. A drive mechanism engages with at least one of the first roller and the second roller for feeding web material through the web passage. The drive mechanism comprises a feeding ring rotatably suspended in the dispensing unit. The feeding ring extends around the web path.

Dispensing unit and dispenser

A dispensing unit and a dispenser are provided. The dispensing unit is adapted for use with continuous web material. The dispensing unit comprises a first roller arranged to rotate about a first axis and a second roller arranged to rotate about a second axis. A web path is provided through the dispensing unit and a portion of the web path includes a web passage defined between the first roller and the second roller. The first roller is displaceable between at least a first position and a second position, wherein a first distance is defined between the first roller and the second roller when the first roller is arranged in the first position, and a second distance is defined between the first roller and the second roller when the first roller is arranged in the second position.

An end plug for a roll of material to be inserted into a retention mechanism, includes a receiving portion to fit into a hollow core of the roll of material; and a bearing member to fit into the retention mechanism. The bearing member includes a bearing pin having a counter surface facing the receiving portion; and a locking surface for locking the end plug in an end position in the retention mechanism, the locking surface being arranged between the receiving portion and the bearing pin, the locking surface having at least one portion inclined with respect to the longitudinal axis of the bearing pin by an angle to the longitudinal axis of the bearing pin in the range of 117&#xb0; to 141&#xb0;. A retention mechanism in a dispenser for retaining the end plug of an exchangeable roll of material is also disclosed.

End plug for a roll of material, roll of material and retention mechanism in a dispenser

An end plug for a roll of material to be inserted into a retention mechanism, includes: a receiving portion for insertion in the roll, an end face for contacting the mechanism and a bearing member for insertion into the mechanism. The bearing member includes a bearing pin having a counter surface facing the end face and at least one portion for locking the end plug in an end position in the mechanism, the locking portion being positioned within a zone defined by a first surface extending towards the end face from an intersection position with the bearing pin, the first surface being inclined with respect to the longitudinal axis of the bearing pin by an angle of 117 and a second surface extending towards the end face from the intersection position, the second surface being inclined with respect to the axis of the bearing pin by an angle of 141.

A dispenser for rolls of web-shaped material, includes a housing having at its bottom part an outlet opening for the web-shaped material and a space for at least two rolls arranged substantially horizontally. A first part of the space is located adjacent the outlet opening and is intended for a first roll in a dispensing position and a second part of the space includes a locking element intended to keep the second roll in standby position. The first part is provided with holding elements for keeping the first roll in use position, the holding elements are spring-loaded and cooperate with the locking elements such that when a roll is located in the first space the locking element prevent the standby roll from falling down, but when the first roll is released from the first space the locking element release and permits the standby roll to occupy the dispensing position.
