A lubricant container (1) for lubricating apparatus intended to be interconnected with and to cooperate with a valve adapted to govern an advance feed motion of a discharge device (3,4) present in the container, and where the lubricant container (1) is equipped with a gable (7) with a substantially tubular neck portion (8) intended to take up a portion of the valve, which can be pushed thereinto, whereby a radially circumferential flange (9) is provided in the neck portion (8), the flange (9) being adapted to engage in interconnection position into an annular groove on the envelope surface of the valve, whereby the annular groove and the flange (9) are situated at such a distance from one end of the valve, and from the free end of the neck portion respectively, that seat portions (10,11) in the neck portion (8) and in the valve, sealingly engage against each other in the interconnection position, and that the annular groove and flange (9) are designed thus, that the flange (9), when the valve is pushed in its longitudinal direction into the neck portion (8), will snap into the annular groove, whereas a pulling apart force acting in the longitudinal direction of the valve and of the container (1), will result in a shearing off of the flange (9).

Lubricant container

A device for mounting and/or dismounting a bearing on a shaft incorporating a tapered clamping sleeve between bearing and shaft and an arrangement for mutual axial displacement of the bearing and clamping sleeve in at least one axial direction, which arrangement incorporates at least one wedge-pointed screw arranged, when being screwed in towards the shaft to cause a mutual displacement in axial direction between the clamping sleeve and the bearing by wedge action. The bearing is situated in a surrounding sleeve-shaped member significant axial space beside the bearing at least on one side. The arrangement for displacement of bearing incorporates at least one radial flange, axially affixed to the clamping sleeve. The wedge-pointed screw is arranged to be screwed in substantially radially through holes in the bearing housing, for exerting the axial wedge force between the flange and an inner race ring of the bearings.

Apparatus for mounting and dismounting bearings

A bearing is mounted in a bearing housing which contains lubricating oil. The bearing includes radially spaced outer and inner rings which confine bearing rollers therebetween. A radially outer surface of the outer ring contains a circular groove in which a strip of lubricant-conducting material is situated. A lower portion of the strip communicates with lubricant, whereby the strip conducts lubricant upwardly by capillary action to a radial passage formed through the outer ring at an upper location thereof. The lubricant gravitates through that passage to the space in which the bearing rollers are disposed. The radially outward facing side of the groove is closed-off by an inner surface of the housing to confine the lubricant within the groove.

Bearing with lubricating strip

A device for elastic interconnection of two rotatable shafts consisting of a first sleeve intended to be connected to a first shaft end. The sleeve has a radial flange and a cylindrical, annular portion connected to the periphery of the flange. A second sleeve is intended to be connected to a second shaft end and to be surrounded by said cylindrical portion. A number of elastically deformable spherical elements are arranged in opposing recesses in said second sleeve and cylindrical portion and distributed around a shaft end. The recesses in the cylindrical portion are arranged in the end surfaces of plugs and provided with external threads. The plugs by being turned are displaceable in threaded bores provided radially in the wall of the cylindrical part. The outer end surfaces of the plugs are provided with diametrical grooves and the cylindrical portion is provided with a diametrical groove. The diametrical grooves and the peripheral grooves define an annular groove. A locking ring is disposed in the annular groove to lock all the plugs in a desired position.

Ball coupling

Sliding bearings of all types, including axial, radial, and linear bearings and combinations thereof, are described which are composed of integral foamed molded plastic by processes known in the art per se to provide unitary bearing structures having surface and/or interior portions of hard material and surface and/or interior portions of porous material, said porous material being saturated with a lubricant and acting to release said lubricant to a sliding bearing.

Integral foamed plastic sliding bearings

A seal for a space between two surfaces which are movable relative to each other such as a shaft engaging through an opening in a housing or the like comprising a seal body made of an elastic material adapted to be secured to one of the surfaces such as the housing. A groove is formed in the seal body which confronts the other surface periphery of the shaft and is formed by a pair of spaced wall portions which converge inwardly toward the other surface so that the base of the groove is wider than the groove at the outer terminal edges of the wall portions. A flexible strip is seated in the groove and has a face confronting the other surface coated with a fiber flock projecting beyond the terminal edges of the wall portions. The strip is of a transverse dimension greater than the spacing between the terminal ends of the wall portions so that the strip and fiber flock are self-supporting in the groove and may be easily assembled therein and removed for replacement when desired. The seal also includes a pair of outwardly directed sealing flanges on either side of the groove formed integrally with the seal body.

Seal

The invention relates to a seal for a gap between a rotatable shaft (3) and an element (1) surrounding the shaft. The seal comprises a lid (5) provided on the surrounding element and showing an annular groove (6) which is open towards the envelope surface of the shaft, and a resilient ring (7) provided on the shaft, which ring is enclosed by the groove. One end surface (8) of the ring is covered by a flock of fibres (10). The free ends of the fibres contact one of the groove walls. The other end surface (9) of the ring directly contacts the other groove wall.

A unitary one-piece rolling element retainer for roller bearings consisting of inner and outer rings and rolling elements between the rings. The retainer comprises a body member made of a foamed plastic material consisting of at least one homogeneous liquid impermeable hard and rigid outer peripheral surface portion and at least one porous portion of the same material. The porous portion is filled with the lubricant and includes at least one pocket for a rolling element in the body member. The rolling element contacts the porous portion to draw lubricant during operation and also contacts the outer surface portion at the periphery of the pocket to prevent escape of lubricant from the container except through contact with the rolling element.

Rolling body retainer

A pressure oil injector assembly characterized by novel features of construction and arrangement providing easy and quick mounting and dismounting and which has good transportability comprising an attachment and connecting member with connections for a pump housing of a pressure medium pump and a pressure pipe. The mounting arrangement is such that the high pressure side of the pump in in communication with the pressure pipe. The pump housing and pressure pipe are connected to the attachment and connecting member by means of threaded dowels which seat in threaded bores in the attachment and connecting member which are opposed to each other and spaced by a chamber or aperture. In the principal embodiment, a manometer seats in the aperture with a certain amount of play and is supported in a firm position between the inner terminal ends of the dowels. Accordingly, the angular position of one of the dowels and therefore, also the angular position of the pump can be freely chosen in relation to the attachment and connecting member and the parts including the manometer can be firmly connected in a leakproof manner simply by tightening the other dowel.

Pressure oil injector

A seal for a gap between at least two surfaces comprising a unitary body member made of a foam plastic material including at least one homogeneous peripheral surface portion and at least one internal porous portion. The porous portion is filled with a lubricant and is exposed through at least one section in the homogeneous peripheral surface portion to permit transfer of lubricant therethrough.

Foamed plastic lubricating seal

A device for sealing the space between two surfaces comprising an elongated body portion made of a flexible, resilient material such as rubber. The body portion engages in a recess in one of said surfaces. The sealing device further includes at least two rigid plate members seating in a recess in the body portion and having a portion projecting therefrom defining a channel and a sealing member mounted in said channel and projecting therefrom to engage the other of the sealing surfaces to be sealed.
