The invention relates generally to compound planet gear arrangements for transmitting torque between two rotating shafts, by splitting the torque into several torque transmitting gear components. The gear arrangements may contain gear shifts arrangement and free-wheel arrangements. The invention also relates to gear wheel arrangements having enhanced torsional compliance capabilities, which gear wheel arrangements advantageously may be used in said compound planet gear arrangements and also at other applications such as at other over-determined systems or where intermittent loads and forces occur. According to one aspect, the invention relates to a gear wheel arrangement (), comprising; a first part () which is arranged to be rotationally fixed to a shaft; a second part () which is rotatably connected to the first part and provided with gear teeth for meshing with an adjacent gear. The first and second parts are mechanically connected by means of at least one first elastically deformable member () which allows a limited relative rotation between the first and second part. The gear teeth () of the second part () are helical and the gear wheel arrangement is arranged to allow a limited relative axial displacement between the first part and the second part.

Compound planet gear arrangement and gear wheel arrangement

A skimming and separation device comprising an outer casing () provided with constructions to directly or indirectly fasten all parts, defining a compartment (), and a floater () configured to create the skimming function of the device, the floater is attached at its lower side to an essentially vertically arranged bellow () allowing the floater to adapt flow into a substantially circus volume and allowing the floater to move from an upper position with essentially no flow into the compartment () to a lower position allowing flow of water and debris follow the contours of the floater () in a downward direction into the device. A power device () is provided and includes a propeller to achieve in-flow and outflow of the device. The device further comprises a central tube (c) arranged along a vertical center axis of the compartment and configured to receive said flow of water and debris, and at least one central rotation member being structured to generate a downward directed and central rotating flow of said water and debris within said central tube (c).

Skimming and separation device&#x2014;central rotating flow

A skimming and separation device includes an outer casing defining a compartment, a floater that provides a skimming function, the floater being attached at its lower side to a vertically arranged bellow allowing the floater to adapt flow into a substantially circum volume and to move from an upper position with essentially no flow into the compartment to a lower position allowing flow of water and debris to follow the contours of the floater in a downward direction. The device further includes a power device with a propeller, the power device being controlled by a control unit such that various kinds of flows and pressures may be generated to control the in-flow and outflow of the device. At least one peripheral flow deflecting member achieves a rotational movement of downward directed flow of water and debris, in a horizontal plane and around a vertical longitudinal center axis of the device.

Skimming and separation device&#x2014;peripheral vertical flow

A gear arrangement for transforming a linear force and/or motion into a rotational torque and/or motion and vice versa. The arrangement comprises; a rack () exhibiting a longitudinal axis (A) and at least one toothed side extending parallel to the longitudinal axis of the rack, the rack being reciprocally movable along its longitudinal axis. At least two pinions () are arranged such that each pinion is rotationally meshing with a toothed side of the rack. Each pinion is fixed to a respective first primary gear () arranged at a first axial side of the pinion. At least two first primary gears are mechanically connected to a common out- or input shaft (), such that the at least two first primary gears transmit torque to or from the first out- or input shaft. At least one pinion is fixed to the respective first primary gear by means of an elastically deformable fixation device () which is arranged to allow a limited relative rotation between the respective first primary gear and pinion.

The device further comprises a bypass member (B) being in fluid communication to an under pressure source via a suction tube (), such that, during operation, an essentially continuously under pressure suction force is available at the bypass member. The bypass member and a guiding unit arranged in the device are both structured to continuously subject debris and floating pollutions to be accumulated on an upper surface in the skimming and separation device and to be subject to the suction force such that the debris and floating pollutions will enter the suction tube () directly and to facilitate a continuous flow pollutants to a tank.

A compound planet gear arrangement () having a ring gear (), at least two planet gear units () and a sun wheel (). Each planet gear unit comprise a primary planet gear () with primary planet teeth meshing with the ring gear and a secondary planet gear () with secondary planet teeth meshing with the sun wheel. The secondary planet gear is axially connected with the primary planet gear and has a diameter which is larger than the diameter of the primary planet gear Each planet gear unit () comprises a shock absorbing transmission arrangement () which is arranged to allow a limited elastic rotation of the secondary planet teeth relative to the primary planet teeth. A drive train arrangement comprising such a compound planet gear arrangement is also disclosed.

State machine interface system, heart state machine analyzer and/or stimulator, comprising state machine algorithms and a graphical user interface, adapted to receive signals from a sensor device that are related to physiological activities of the heart and/or the circulatory system of a living being and the state machine algorithms determine states of heart cycles based upon the signals. The determined heart cycle states are graphically presented at the graphical user interface such that the temporal relation between the different states are illustrated. The graphical user interface may be circular diagrams or bar graphs including parts representing the temporal relation between the different states.

State machine interface system

A state space model (SSM), being a computer-calculated model, adapted to represent the pumping and controlling functions of a heart that have been determined by a heart cluster state machine simulating the heart, and optionally the circulatory system, of an individual. The state space model includes two groups of separate interacting state machines, the heart muscle cell state machines and the displacement pump state machines.

During collection of pollutants having a density lower than that of water and carried by a surface layer of a body of water, water of the surface layer is caused to flow into and through a collection vessel having a separation compartment with a top wall, pollutants entrained by the inflowing surface layer water are allowed to collect gravimetrically as a supernatant layer carried beneath the top wall of the separation compartment on water in the separation compartment, and changes of the weight of the collection vessel in the body of water are monitored. Intake and discharge phases may be initiated and terminated to in response to the said weight reaching predetermined values.

Method and apparatus for collecting pollutants in a body of water

Computer-based system adapted to create a representation of mechanical and flow-mechanical function of a &#x3b4;V-pump. A mathematical modeling algorithm is used based upon a transforming element adapted to connect different physical domains via a transforming value. The system comprises an upper transforming element (TF) and a lower transforming element (TF) each having a flow domain (fd, fd) and a mechanical domain (md, md), the upper transforming element is provided with a transforming value A1 and the lower transforming element is provided with a transforming value A1+A2, wherein A1 and A2&#x3e;0. The upper and lower transforming elements are interconnected such that their mechanical domains are connected, said mechanical domains are provided with a control value representing a directional measure (F) arranged to intermittently and simultaneously activate said mechanical domains of the transforming elements. By interconnecting two &#x3b4;V-pump representations the pumping action of a heart may be simulated.
