A tool for use in dental implants. The tool includes a retention element held in the tool shaft via a friction fit. The retention element is adapted to grip a variety of impact drivers via a frictional fit for use in tightening procedures of a dental procedure. The tool also includes a variety of features for interaction with additional dental instruments, or that aid in cleaning and sanitization of the tool.

A process for the preparation of an article by powder injection molding, the process including the steps of providing a feedstock containing a powder of a ceramic, a metal or a metal alloy dispersed in a binder, heating the feedstock, and injecting the heated feedstock into a mold cavity of a mold, where it cools and hardens to the configuration of the mold cavity. The process is characterized in that step c) is carried out under the application of vibrational energy onto the feedstock.

Process for the preparation of an article by powder injection molding

A torque wrench, including: a head region with a receiving opening; a bending-resistant shaft region adjoins the head region; a support formed on the shaft region; and an actuating lever including an elastically bendable portion and a handle. The receiving opening receives a screwing instrument and defines an axis of rotation. The actuating lever, in resting position, is spaced apart from the in the circumferential direction to the axis of rotation. If a screwing instrument is inserted into the opening, the actuating lever transmits a torque. The wrench has an indicator region, which the exerted torque can be read as a result of the deflection of the actuating lever. When a reference force is reached, the bending portion comes into contact with the support. When a force is applied, the bending portion can be in the tightening direction and the torque can be read in the region.

Dental torque wrench

The present invention relates to a dental drill () formed of titanium or a titanium alloy having a hardness greater than pure titanium, said drill extending along a central axis (A) from a proximal end () to a distal end (). The drill comprises a shank () arranged in a proximal end region of the drill () and extending along the central axis (A), a flute portion () arranged distally to and running coaxially with the shank (), said flute portion () comprising two or more flutes () extending along the flute portion () and being interposed by lands (), the flute portion further comprising a central solid web and a drill tip () directly adjoining the distal end () of the flute portion () and comprising two or more flanks () which taper radially inwardly from the distal end of each land in the distal direction toward the central axis (A), each flank () comprising a cutting edge (). According to the invention, at the distal end of the drill point () at least one groove () is formed in the web such that the distal most end () of at least one of the flanks () is located radially remote from the central axis (A).

Dental drill

A dental tool, such as an insertion tool for a dental implant, including a shaft extending along a longitudinal axis and having a distal end and a proximal end, the tool further including an annular resilient retention member formed of a metal material and connected to the shaft such that at least a section of the member protrudes from a surface of the shaft.

A self-retaining screw assembly comprising a dental secondary component and a screw. The secondary component comprises a through passage having an apical and a coronal open end, and a screw seat located between said apical and coronal ends. The screw comprises a screw rod and a screw head, the screw head being dimensioned to abut against the screw seat and the screw rod being dimensioned to pass unhindered through the through passage such that the apical end of the rod can protrude from the apical end of the through passage. The through passage further comprises, coronal of the screw seat, a first section and, directly coronal of the first section a second section having a narrower diameter than the first section, such that the second section forms a restriction in the through passage. The screw head comprises a radially outwardly extending retaining element.

Self-retaining dental screw

A holding device for retaining and transporting a dental implant, particularly a dental implant stored in an ampule having preserving fluid, is provided. The holding device has a securing section, which has a force transmission element for rotationally securing the dental implant and an attachment element having one or more resilient arms formed integrally with and distally of the force transmission element, for longitudinally retaining the dental implant. The resilient arms do not extend beyond the radial perimeter of the force transmission element. The resilient arms can be transformed between a first operative configuration and a second compressed configuration under forces during operation, to allow a radially enlarged end of the arms to releasably engage an undercut of the dental implant.

Holding element for a dental implant including: an engagement section adapted for engagement with a manipulating tool; a retention section joined to the engagement section and adapted for engagement with a package, in particular an ampule; and a clamping section joined to the retention section and adapted for connecting the holding element to the dental implant, the clamping section including a force transmission element, wherein the clamping section further includes a clamping element provided with an elastic means extending in a non-compressed position thereof at and beyond the outer perimeter defined by the force transmission element.
