A foaming component for use in a foaming liquid dispenser, and an insert arranged so that it may be inserted into a liquid dispenser comprising the foaming component. The foaming component comprises a liquid chamber; an air chamber; a sparging component, which comprises a sparging interface and a foaming region; an exit aperture; and a pumping mechanism. The pumping mechanism is arranged such that it can transfer liquid from the liquid chamber directly to the foaming region, and air from the air chamber to the foaming region, via the sparging interface. The forcing of air through the sparging interface causes bubbles to form in the liquid located in the foaming region, resulting in a foamed mixture for dispensing. The pumping mechanism is then used to transfer the foamed mixture from the sparging component through the exit aperture, wherein the sparging interface is arranged such that at least a portion of the foaming region is positioned in between opposing surfaces of the sparging interface.

Wipes with foam

One aspect of the invention is a new foam which includes a liquid having a plurality of bubbles therein and a plurality of particles suspended therein. The foam is made in a dispenser that suspends the bubbles in the liquid. The liquid may be a single liquid with particles therein or may be made from two liquids which are mixed together. The particles may be such that, prior to foaming the particles sink, float or are suspended in the liquid.

The present disclosure relates to a non-aerosol foam pump for use in association with an unpressurized liquid container and a foaming element comprising. The pump includes a liquid pump portion and an air pump portion. The liquid pump portion has a liquid chamber with a liquid internal volume and a shuttle liquid piston. The liquid chamber is in flow communication with the unpressurized liquid container and in flow communication with the foaming element. The air pump portion has an air chamber with an air internal volume. The air chamber is in flow communication with the foaming element. The liquid pump portion and the air pump portion have an activation stroke and a return stroke. During the activation stroke the air internal volume is reduced and during a beginning stage of the stroke the liquid internal volume remains the same and during a later stage the liquid internal volume is reduced.

Foam pump

A foam assembly connectable to a liquid container includes a main pump body, a resiliently deformable piston dome, an air chamber, a liquid chamber, a mixing zone and a porous member. The main pump body has an exit nozzle with the porous member therein. The air chamber and the liquid chamber are each defined by the piston dome and the main pump body. The liquid chamber has a liquid inlet valve and a liquid outlet valve. The mixing zone is in flow communication with the air chamber and the liquid chamber. The volume of the air chamber and the liquid chamber are each dependent on the position of piston dome and during an activation stroke the piston moves from the at rest position to the depressed position and responsively the volume of the air chamber and the volume of the liquid chamber are reduced.

Foam dispenser

A foaming assembly includes a porous foaming element, a liquid chamber and an air chamber. The porous foaming element has an air inlet, a liquid inlet and an outlet. The porous foaming element has at least two zones of different pore sizes. The liquid chamber is in flow communication with the porous foaming element. The liquid chamber has a volume that is movable between an at rest postion to an activation position. The air chamber is in flow communication with the porous foaming element. The air chamber has a volume that is movable between an at rest position to an activation position. Liquid and air are forced into the porous foaming element under pressure wherein they mix to form foam which exits through the outlet. A dispenser may include a foaming assembly and a liquid container.

The present disclosure relates to a container for flowable material configured to be installed in a counter below an access hole. The container includes a first deformable portion and a second deformable portion. The first deformable portion defines a first cavity and has a sealable first cavity inlet. The second deformable portion defines a second cavity and is in flow communication with the first cavity. The first deformable portion is configured to deform to fit into the access hole when substantially no flowable material is therein and the second deformable portion configured to deform to fit through the access hole when substantially no flowable material is therein. The disclosure also includes a method of installing a container of flowable material in a counter below an access hole.

One aspect of the invention is a foaming component for use in association with a foam dispenser. The foaming component includes an air sparging element, a mixing chamber, and an air chamber. The mixing chamber is on one side of the air sparging element and it defines a portion of the mixing chamber. The air chamber is on the other side of the air sparging element and it defines a portion of the air chamber. The air chamber has an air inlet. The mixing chamber has a liquid inlet and an outlet, and the outlet is down stream of the inlet. The foaming component also forms part of a new foam dispenser. The foaming component and the foam dispenser are for use in the production of foam with a plurality of particles suspended therein. Another aspect of the invention is a dispenser with a foaming component therein.

Method of producing foamed cleanser with suspended particles therein and a dispenser therefore

A foam dispenser for use in association with foaming liquid is disclosed. The squeeze operated foam dispenser includes a resiliently deformable bottle and a cap. The resiliently deformable bottle has an at rest position and an under pressure position. The bottle has an interior and a throat. The cap is attached to the throat and the cap has a nozzle extending inwardly into the interior of the bottle. The nozzle defines a nozzle fluid passageway. A nozzle cover is attached to the cap and spaced from the nozzle and a cap chamber is defined therebetween. An air tube defining an air passageway extends inwardly from the nozzle cover and the air passageway is in communication with the cap chamber and an interior portion of air formed between the liquid and the bottle in the interior thereof when the nozzle is positioned downwardly. A pressure actuated valve selectively opens and closes the air tube whereby the valve is closed when the bottle is in the at rest position and opens responsive to the bottle being moved from the at rest position to the pressure position. A cover port is formed in the nozzle cover to provide a fluid passageway between the interior and the cap chamber. The dispenser includes a method of sealing the nozzle when the bottle is in the at rest position. The sealing method may be a pressure retaining valve. Alternatively the cover port, the nozzle and the nozzle cover are arranged whereby, in the at rest position with the throat of the bottle positioned downwardly, there is an airlock between the nozzle and nozzle cover in the cap chamber and when the bottle is moved from the at rest position to the pressure position the air lock is broken.
