The inventive assembly incorporates a lanyard assembly that may, in some embodiments, be attachable to badge connector to present a single, unitary connector with a stylized appearance. The ends of the lanyard ribbons are engaged in a manner that creates free space between the edges of the ribbon immediately upon exiting the connector assembly so as to impart resistance to unwanted twisting of the object held by the lanyard assembly and/or the ribbon forming part of it. The object or badge connector associated with the assembly comprises a clip, j-hook, or key ring assembly for easy attachment of a card or card holder.

A portable apparatus for rapidly freezing a freezable liquid to form at least one frozen object includes a fluid intake in which the freezable liquid is introduced and a freeze chamber that receives the freezable liquid from the fluid intake. The freeze chamber includes a freeze block that includes at least one cell in which the at least one frozen object is formed. A cooling system circulates refrigerant to the freeze block to facilitate cooling of the freeze block. The freeze block is formed of a heat transfer material such that heat from the freezable liquid added to the at least one cell is transferred to the freeze block whereupon said heat is transferred to the refrigerant flowing through the evaporator coil of the freeze block, thereby resulting in cooling of the freeze block. The freeze block is configured and the refrigerant is selected such that the freeze chamber is maintained at a temperature of below 0&#xb0; F. and preferably below at least about &#x2212;10.0&#xb0; F. or &#x2212;20&#xb0; F.

Method and apparatus for instant ice making

An automatic-feed trimmer head for a vegetation trimming machine. A spool is positioned within the interior of a housing. A cam guide formation is disposed atop the top flange of the spool. The cam guide formation defines a pathway. A cam arm is provided that is mounted to the housing with a pivot connection. The cam arm has a cam projection that extends into the pathway. A spring is provided that biases the cam arm into a first orientation. In the first orientation, the shape of the pathway enables the cam projection to move only in a first direction. The cam arm moves about the pivot connection from its first orientation to a second orientation when the trimmer head assembly is rotated above a predetermined rotational speed. When the cam arm is in its second orientation trimmer line is unwound from the spool.

A decorative lighting system has a light holding assembly, a base section member, and a top section member on the base section member. The light holding assembly has an elongated tubular body having a cavity defined therein, a flange extending from the elongated tubular body, and a plurality of lights within the elongated tubular body. At least a portion of the elongated tubular body is made of a material that allows light to pass through that portion. In addition, at least a portion of the flange is between the base section member and the top section member such that the light holding assembly is held between the base section member and the top section member.

Lighted railing and similar structures

A locker has a latch bar attached to the inside surface of door by projections that extend through respective slots in the bar. The slots are configured to permit the bar to move parallel to the door between an extended position and a retracted position, the extended position being horizontally offset from the retracted position. An actuator plate is positioned between the inside surface of the door and the latch bar and is connected to a handle on the outside surface of the door. The at least one pair of spaced rollers is provided on the actuator plate. A diagonal rib is attached to the latch bar for each pair of rollers. Each diagonal rib is positioned between a respective pair of spaced apart rollers, such that when the handle and actuator plate are moved vertically, each pair of rollers will move along the diagonal rib positioned between that pair of rollers causing the latch bar to move horizontally. The handle preferably has an upper portion that is parallel to the front surface of the door and a lower hand grip portion that extends away from the upper portion.

In an embodiment, a spool for a trimmer head has a structure for guiding the trimmer line around a region for a driveshaft. In an embodiment, a component (e.g., a turn knob or a stop) is attached to the spool so that after determining the orientation in which to install the spool, the user is unlikely to install the spool in another orientation, even though the spool is invertible. In an embodiment, the turn knob also includes a structure that allows the turn knob to be used as a tool (e.g., as a wrench or screw driver) that facilitates disassembling the trimmer head.

An apparatus for the automated production of ophthalmic lenses, particularly compound lenses having a plastic coating on a plastic lens is described. A mold, after rotational orientation, is placed in a gimbal assembly to provide for the proper tilt. This gimbal assembly forms part of a fixture attached to an indexing means which moves for complete assembly of a molding fixture and then moves the molding fixture through a chamber to cure the resin. A preform, after rotational orientation, is held, by a preform gripper placed above the mold, and with sufficient clearance between the mold and the preform to allow the correct resin thickness during the curing portion of the process. The fixture is also provided with members to firmly grip the preform gripper so as to maintain its orientation throughout the curing process.
