A battery operated grease gun includes a pump mechanism that employs a speed reducing and torque increasing planetary gearing transmission which rotates a final driver that is a part of the transmission, and a sliding yoke that is reciprocated by the final driver and is coupled to a plunger that dispenses the grease under pressure where the plunger is mounted to the yoke for relative movement therebetween.

An air operated liquid pump includes a pump with a reciprocating plunger driven by a piston contained in a cylinder. The plunger is connected to and reciprocates a dispensing piston that moves between two positions relative to the plunger to open and close flow through valve holes that pass through the dispensing piston.

A hose reel assembly for taking up and feeding out a hose. The assembly includes a non-rotatable shaft having opposite ends, a reel for storing the hose rotatable on the shaft and a hub mounted on the shaft at one side of the reel between the reel and one end of the shaft so that the hub may be slidably applied to and removed from the shaft independent of the reel. The assembly further includes a coupling on the hub for connecting the hub and the hose. The shaft and the hub include passaging for supplying fluid to the hose. A seal is provided between the shaft and the hub adjacent to the passaging for preventing fluid leakage. The hub is releasably connected to the reel for conjoint rotation of the hub and the reel on the shaft and is disconnectable from the reel so that the hub may be removed from one end of the shaft to permit replacement of the seal without removing the reel from the shaft.

Hose reel assembly

An automatic air operated grease gun comprising a reciprocating grease plunger for ejecting grease, and a piston, connected to the plunger, for operating the plunger. The piston is slidably mounted in a cylinder to move between a retracted position and an advanced position. A return spring resiliently biases the piston to its retracted position. A switch selectively connects the cylinder to a source of gas under pressure to advance the piston against the return spring. The piston has a plurality of apertures therein, each aperture having an individual seal, and a release for opening the individual seals to relieve the pressure behind the cylinder and allow it to retract under the force of the return spring.

An improved strut spring compression tool is provided having a load screw that extends between pairs of arms that are engaged with spaced coils of a strut spring to be compressed. The improved load screw is provided with a stop block formed unitarily thereon. The stop block serves as a limit stop that prevents further adjustment of the arms of the spring compression tool toward each other that could potentially result in damage to the component parts of the strut spring compression tool.

A pressure control system, including a pilot valve suitable for use therein, for providing a constant pressure from a non-compensated pump to a plurality of nozzle valves controlling flow from a manifold to nozzles associated with the valves, including a pressure control valve interposed between the pump and the manifold which is response to a control pressure created by a pilot valve which reduces manifold pressure to the control pressure.

A foldable clothes hanger rail system that consist of a clothes hanger rail that is retractable when not in use. The foldable clothes hanger rail system was developed for applications such as laundry rooms where a permanent clothes hanger rail takes up too much room and is only needed on an intermittent basis. The rail is made retractable by having the rail attached to pivot members that pivot around screws fastened into a wall mountable frame. The pivot members are supported by chords or chains running from the upper portion of the frame and support the rail when it is rotated downward and in service. A rail clip is provided on the upper portion of the frame to keep the rail retracted when not in ervice. The entire system is made into one single unit to be easily mounted on a wall.

A supplemental electric water unit for immediately providing hot water of a desired temperature at a point of use, such a hot water faucet, when the standing line hot water from a remote conventional water heater is of insufficient temperature includes a small insulated tank interposed in the supply line immediately before the point of use. The tank is provided with a thermostatically controlled electric heater for maintaining the water the tank at the desired temperature. An inlet passage directs inflowing water from the supply line to the bottom of the tank and an upper water outlet connects the tank to the point of use. A thermostatic valve in the water inlet passage opens to automatically to bypass inflowing water of proper temperature directly to the top of the tank for discharge through the outlet. However, should the inflowing water be below the proper temperature, the thermostatic valve closes to divert the inflowing water to the bottom of the tank for heating, while the preheated water already present in the tank is delivered through the outlet for use. A pressure responsive check valve in the inflow passage prevents water flow to the tank bottom when the thermostatic valve is open.

Valve arrangement

A sewer cleaner having a water pump with a clutch-less connection to an engine draws water from a tank having a baffle with an orifice. A valve arrangement directs the output from the pump to either a hose on a reel or recirculates to the tank. The flow rate through the orifice is less than the operating output of the pump so that the recirculated water combines with that flowing through the orifice to permit operation of a hydraulic system to rotate the hose reel.
