A suture system including a suture construct having a first reduction construct configured to be selectively arranged in an expanded state and a reduced state. The first reduction construct includes a first locking limb, a first contractible loop, and a first opposed loop disposed generally opposite to the first contractible loop, wherein reduction of the first opposed loop contracts the first contractible loop from the expanded state into the reduced state and secures the suture construct in the reduced state. The suture construct may also include a second reduction construct. Optionally, the suture system includes a first and a second pusher tube defining a first and a second lumen, respectively, wherein each pusher tubes are advanced over portions of opposed loops, respectively, and wherein distal portions of opposed loops extend beyond the pusher tubes, respectively.

Suture system and method

A multicomponent implant system includes a multicomponent implant comprising a base plate and a load plate. The base plate includes a bone facing surface and a base plate interface surface. The load plate includes a load plate interface surface and a load bearing surface, the load bearing surface being substantially parallel to the load plate interface surface and having a contour substantially corresponding to a contour of a removed portion of the articular surface. Both the load plate interface surface and base plate interface surface have a contour substantially corresponding to the contour of the load bearing surface. The load plate is configured to be advanced in an arcuate direction to slidably couple the load plate to the base plate after the base plate has been secured within the first excision site by an anchor.

Multicomponent articular surface implant

A bioabsorbable textile for the restoration of the joint function whereas the joint is affected by partial thickness tears, small to medium full-thickness tears, large to massive full-thickness tears, acute and chronic/degenerative tears. The bioabsorbable textile may comprise polymeric yarns interconnected to form a weave or knitted configuration, wherein said bioabsorbable textile provides a combined mechanical and biological augmentation in the target joint tissue. The bioabsorbable textile may be implanted in combination with fixation tools during open, mini-open or arthroscopic repair/augmentation procedures of joint tissue tears.

A fixation system for coupling a first and a second portion of bone together. The fixation system includes a first fixation element, a second fixation element, and an interconnect. The first fixation element includes an external surface configured to engage the first portion of bone and a first tapered mating surface. The interconnect includes a first and a second tapered surface disposed at generally opposite ends. The present disclosure provides systems and methods for repairing a defect on a portion of an articular surface of a human body, particularly of the glenoid. More particularly, the present disclosure provides systems and methods for repairing both a glenoid cavity and a glenoid rim of the glenoid using a single implant.

Glenoid repair system and methods of use thereof

The present disclosure relates to a system and method for repairing an articular surface. A guide pin may be secured to an articular surface of a glenoid, wherein the guide pin defines a working axis and the working axis is positioned at an angle α relative to the articular surface, wherein angle α is less than or equal to 90 degrees. An excision device may be advanced over the guide pin, wherein the excision device includes a cannulated shaft and at least one cutter, wherein the at least one cutter is generally aligned in a single plane. A generally hemi-spherical excision site may be formed with the excision device within the articular surface of the glenoid.

Glenoid resurfacing system and method

Apparatuses and methods for microfracture (e.g., forming a plurality of microfractures in a bone to encourage cartilage regeneration). The guide includes a body portion defining a plurality of excision passageways. The excision passageways each define a generally cylindrical core pathway configured to extend generally perpendicular to the first bone which partially overlaps with an adjacent generally cylindrical core pathway. A projection associated with each of the plurality of the generally cylindrical core pathways defines a truncated cylindrical excision site extending through a portion of the articular surface. Each truncated cylindrical excision site partially overlaps with at least one adjacent truncated cylindrical excision site.

A implant delivery system for securing an implant to an anchor. The implant delivery system includes a driver including a shaft, a biasing body having a first end region configured to engage said driver and a second end region configured to engage a portion of an implant, and a suture extending between the anchor and the shaft of the driver. The driver may be rotated to reduce the length of the suture between the driver and the anchor and generate a biasing force urging the implant into engagement with the anchor. The biasing force is substantially not transmitted to the bone.

Delivery system for articular surface implant

An implant system for a knee comprising a femur and a patella. The implant system includes a patella implant comprising an implant body. The implant body comprises a bone facing surface, an articular facing surface, and at least one dimple. The bone facing surface engages bone beneath an implant site formed in the patella. The articular facing surface faces towards an articulating surface of the femur and has a non-anatomical shape (such as a dome). The dimples are formed in the articular facing surface and have a load bearing surface to engage against the articulating surface of the femur. The load bearing surface may have a contour that substantially corresponds to a spherical portion of a generally spherical segment or has an elongated, partially oval shape, and may be configured to increase contact area with the articulating surface of the femur, reduce stress concentrations, and increase resistance to dislocation subluxation.

Articular surface implants with dimples

An implant resection system for preparing an implant site to replace a defect in an articular surface of a first bone includes a first guide configured to be coupled generally to the first bone. The first guide includes a body portion defining a channel configured to receive a pin, wherein the pin is configured to penetrate and form a longitudinally disposed bore within the first bone. The implant resection system further includes a second guide configured to be coupled generally perpendicular to the first bone proximate to the defect by way of the bore. The second guide includes a drill bit configured to form an excision site through a portion of the articular surface in preparation of receipt of an implant.
