A suspension aidhas a frameand two curved armsrotatably connected thereto. The frame is provided with two pivot axesabout which the arms are rotatable. Between the arms there is a transmission elementwhich is slidable in the frame. A suspension elementto which an object can be suspended is attached to the transmission element. The arms are rotatably connected to the frame near a first endand are provided with a toothing. The transmission element is provided with two toothed rackswhich are in engagement with the toothings. The transmission element is provided with a contact surfacewhich, when the suspension aid is around the tube, comes into contact with the tube and stops the transmission element, whereby the frame moves with respect to the transmission element and thereby rotate the two arms with their free ends towards each other.

Suspension aid for suspending an object from a tube

A scissor gear assemblyhas a main gearand auxiliary gearconcentric to the main gear and in axial direction near the main gear. Further the assembly has planar annular springsbeing interrupted at one place. At the interruption the springs have two endsand. The springs are present between both gears and are with one endconnected to the main gearand with the other endto the auxiliary gear, so that both gears are connected to each other in rotation direction via the springs. The springsare completely placed radial outwards of the rotation axisof the main gearso space is created to assemble multiple springs. The solution is special suited for relative large size scissor gears.

A method of providing a predetermined backlash for a transmission comprising at least a first and a second interlocking toothed gear, the backlash being provided by positioning the first and second gear with respect to each other by means of spacer material applied to at least part of an upright sidewall of at least one first tooth, the upright sidewall facing a second tooth of the second gear adjacent to the first tooth, the layer of spacer material being pressed in between the first and the second tooth, the thickness of the layer of spacer material determining the predetermined backlash between the first and the second tooth.

Further the assembly has a planar annular springbeing interrupted at one place. At the interruption the spring has two endsA andB. The spring is present between both gears and is with one endA connected to the main gearand with the other endB to the auxiliary gear, so that both gears are connected to each other in rotation direction via the spring. Each endA,B of the spring is provided with an extensionforming extra mass. These extensions are each provided with a slot. Because of these extra masses the spring torque will vary depending on the rotational speed of the gear assembly.
