An example apparatus includes interface circuitry, machine readable instructions, and programmable circuitry to at least one of instantiate or execute the machine readable instructions to determine a terrain condition based on first wheel position data of a vehicle and second wheel position data of the vehicle, determine a damping command based on the terrain condition, and adjust a suspension of the vehicle based on the damping command.

Methods and apparatus to adjust vehicle suspension damping

A pool return fitting having a housing with a first chamber and second chamber. The second chamber is retained within the first chamber. The first chamber has a first pipe connection configured to receive a fluid. The first chamber has a first opening bordering a third chamber of an integrally formed support structure. The second chamber has a second pipe connection configured to receive a conduit. The second chamber has a second opening configured to retain a submersible light fixture. A transparent lens is connected to the integrally formed support structure and has opening. Fluid flows from the first opening of first chamber into a third chamber of the integrally formed support structure, over a lens of the submersible light fixture retained by the second chamber, and through an opening of the transparent lens to be expelled from the third chamber into the surrounding fluid external of the housing.

A suspension control system for a vehicle may include a plurality of adjustable dampers associated with suspension of respective ones of a plurality of wheels of the vehicle, a controller operably coupled to the adjustable dampers to selectively adjust a damping force of one or more of the adjustable dampers responsive to an activation signal, and a driver interface disposed at a steering wheel assembly of the vehicle. The driver interface may be actuated by a driver of the vehicle to apply the activation signal while the driver interface is actuated.

An example apparatus includes memory and at least one processor to execute computer readable instructions to obtain wheel position information and vehicle speed information from sensors associated with wheels of a vehicle, the wheel position information including first wheel position data and second wheel position data, determine a terrain condition based on a greater of the first wheel position data and the second wheel position data, determine a compression damping command based on the terrain condition and the vehicle speed information, and adjust a damping system of the vehicle based on the compression damping command.

A dynamic vehicle stability control system for a vehicle may include an active wing extending laterally relative to a longitudinal centerline of the vehicle and configured to be rotatable to change an angle of attack relative to wind passing over the vehicle parallel to the longitudinal centerline, a repositioning assembly operably coupling the active wing to the vehicle, and a controller operably coupled to components and/or a sensor network of the vehicle to receive status information about the vehicle. The repositioning assembly may be operated based on a wing angle command received by the controller responsive to execution of a plurality of control algorithms executed by the controller. The controller may be configured to determine the wing angle command based on respective wing angle requests generated by each of the control algorithms.

System and method for active aerodynamic device control for a vehicle

A sharpener cover retrofit attachment to retrofit an electrode sharpener cover attachment on an electrode sharpener, the electrode sharpener for sharpening an electrode rod and having a protruding hollow sharpener shaft with a sharpener shaft outer diameter and a rotating sharpener shaft inner diameter for accepting the electrode rod. The attachment includes a first and second annulus, both axially aligned such that they are able to accept and align the electrode rod into the rotating sharpener shaft inner diameter.

A universal swimming pool light adapter ring consisting of a two-element interlocking adapter ring for retrofitting a swimming pool light into a swimming pool niche. The adapter ring has a two element face ring that interlocks and fastens around a swimming pool light cord, so that an existing swimming pool light does not need to be substantially removed or disassembled to facilitate installation. Further the adapter ring consists of an adjacent two-element mounting ring that utilizes a plurality of mounting screws to each respective element, which creates pressure points that secure the adapter firmly into the light niche to allow a fit into most standard light niches, including but not limited to, a sealed beam light niche. Two thread points on each opposing side on the adapter's face ring, as well as a mounting tab, allow multiple brands and sizes of swimming pool lights to be mechanically fastened, securely to the adapter.

An apparatus for repairing a fluid leak, thru a crack within the body of a pool return fitting, or in a pipe of close proximity to a pool return fitting, wherein an apparatus comprising of two specially shaped cylindrical flow-thru rubber plugs, wherein a threaded tube thru the center of the rubber plugs, being separated by a spacer sealed with rubber washers and rigid washers, are retained at one end by a flare in said tube, and threaded on the other end, secured by a locking nut over a rigid washer against a conical wedge. When the locking nut is tightened, the rubber plugs radially expands within the return line pipe and the pool return fitting, sealing any leak occurring between the pool return fitting and the return line pipe, wherein fluid may still pass thru the center tube. A return eyeball cap is threaded onto the center tube, wherein the eyeball is threaded female internally. The apparatus may be installed in a pool with or without water in the pool.

Magnetorheological-damper-based steering apparatus and methods for reducing steering wheel jerk resulting from off-road wheel impact are described. An example steering damper apparatus includes a magnetorheological (MR) rotary damper to be operatively coupled to a steering column shaft. The example steering damper apparatus further includes a sensor to detect an angular velocity associated with the steering column shaft. The example steering damper apparatus further includes a controller to energize the MR rotary damper in response to determining that the angular velocity exceeds an angular velocity threshold. The angular velocity threshold is associated with steering wheel jerk resulting from an off-road wheel impact.

A trim ring is fitted around the locking nut of the threaded end tube, secured in place by a return eyeball, wherein the return eyeball is threaded female internally.

Apparatus for repairing a pool fitting

A transitional mounting adaptor to connect a pool main drain to a pool main drain cover with or without water in the pool. The adaptor consists of a trim ring with four cardinal point screw slots (NSEW) molded to a perpendicular mounting ring with three equally spaced, threaded pointed thumb screws, passing perpendicularly thru the mounting ring, via a series of threaded mounting holes, creating three pressure points which secures the adaptor to the main drain pot. The cardinal point screw slots in any position will receive coarse thread main drain screws used for mounting a main drain cover onto the trim ring. Further, the edge of the trim ring is bull-nosed. The cardinal point screw slots of the trim ring can also be used to mechanically fasten the adaptor to a main drain pot. The adaptor allows water to pass thru the trim ring, thru the mounting ring, and continue thru the main drain, as with the normal functioning of pool water flow.

The solution comprises obtaining as an input a signal; sampling the signal; feeding the sampled signal to a given number of parallel correlators having a given correlation length, controlling the correlation the sampled signal in each correlator with a unique time shift section of the pilot sequence of the communication system, determining the strongest correlation peaks, and determining on the basis of the correlation peaks and corresponding time shifts the strongest pilots in the signal.

Apparatus and method for recognizing Global System for Mobile communication (GSM) signals are provided. The solution comprises obtaining position and timing information from a satellite positioning system; tuning to a frequency channel with GSM transmission; collecting a group of I/Q samples for the length of 12 GSM frames; performing peak detection using at least two peak detectors over the group of samples wherein the found peak values are the locations of synchronization bursts (SCH). For the found peaks, the timing information, carrier-to-noise ratio, in phase and quadrature values are determined. A group of I/Q samples for the length of 12 or 51 GSM frames are collected. From the found SCH, base station identification code BSIC, frame number and Broadcast Control Channel (BCCH) training sequence are determined. BCCHs corresponding to all SCH are decoded; and transmitting base stations identified.
