The invention relates to quick acting interfaces that allow for easier transportation and maintenance of precision rifles. Embodiments include an interface with an engaging segment and a receiving segment that engage one another and lock together. The engaging segment may have a series of connective bearings that fit into indentations inside the receiving segment. Embodiments allow a firearm to be modulated such that a barrel of the firearm may be disassembled without the need of any specialized equipment and reassembled without impacting the firearm's accuracy or reliability. Embodiments are scalable such that multiple interfaces can be used to adjust the total length of the firearm barrel.

Quick acting modular rifle interface

Exemplary systems enable operation of mobile devices underwater. Antennas on a buoy assembly allow a mobile device to maintain wireless communications. A series of cable segments connect a buoy assembly to a waterproof case capable of sealing a mobile device.

Apparatuses and methods are provided including radome designs with tailorable through thickness reinforcement (TTR) or transverse members that increase mechanical durability of the reinforced radomes against an applied forces while providing desired radar transmissive performance matched to a particular environment. Embodiments provided allow for greater mechanical durability while maintaining sensitive RF performance across the entire structure. TTR in the embodiments include composite rods, fibers, fiber bundles, tows, or a combination of these options. The TTR can be placed through the core or both the skins and the core, and the TTR can be continuous threads of materials.

Advanced radome designs with tailorable reinforcement and methods of manufacturing the same

Embodiments disclosed herein generally relate to modifying a material's surface chemistry and surface profile using a pulsed laser. In embodiments, a system comprises: a material, the material including a surface portion having a surface chemistry; an enclosure, the enclosure containing a gaseous mixture having a non-atmospheric composition; and a pulsed laser configured to emit at least one laser pulse, the at least one laser pulse being directed to pass through the gaseous mixture onto the surface portion thereby modifying the surface chemistry of the surface portion.

Modifying the surface chemistry of a material

A suppression system adapted to receive gas from a gas operated system and route the gas through a series of multiple chambers having baffles and/or valves as well as expansion chambers where the chambers are formed around a gas projectile barrel and adapted to route the gas in a first route along the barrel in a first direction then routing the gas along the barrel in a second direction. An embodiment of the invention couples the chambers to a gas block adapted to route gas between the chambers in the first and second route as well as receive gas from the projectile barrel and route it to the gas operated system. Methods of manufacturing and methods of use are also provided.
