A mobile patient bed may be used for moving a patient between at least two locations during a medical procedure. The mobile patient bed may comprise an interface configured to selectively couple the mobile patient bed to at least one medical system and at least one processor configured to receive a medical system command via the interface and process the medical system command when the mobile patient bed is coupled to the at least one medical system, receive and process a user command when the mobile patient bed is not coupled to the at least one medical system, and refrain from processing the user command when the mobile patient bed is coupled to the at least one medical system. The mobile patient bed may also comprise a seat and a plurality of motors configured to independently position the seat along a plurality of axes.

A system, apparatus, and method may provide laser beams of two or more wavelengths from diode pumped solid-state laser sources (). The beam paths of these laser beams with different wavelengths, which are generated by the laser sources (), may be aligned along a common optical axisby an optical configuration, to treat at least one target area. Frequency-doubled laser beams, output from a plurality of diode pumped solid state laser cavities, may be passed through fold mirrors (M, M, M), and combined on a common optical axis, using one or more combiner mirrors (M, M, M), to unify the beam paths. Selected laser beams may be delivered to a target using one or more delivery systems.

System, method, and apparatus to provide laser beams of two or more wavelengths

A dermatological treatment method includes directing laser energy having a wavelength of 2.79 &#x3bc;m onto skin. According to disclosed methods, the energy can function to ablate a first portion of epidermal tissue, coagulate an underlying second portion of epidermal tissue, and promote collagen formation in tissue of the underlying dermis. In an exemplary treatment apparatus, a laser using a YSGG gain medium is mounted in a handpiece. The handpiece may include a two-axis scanner to allow for uniform scanning of the energy over the tissue surface.

A flashlamp device having a small diameter waveguide is disclosed for use in localized dermatological applications. A preferred waveguide has a curvilinear wall surface. The waveguide is supported by a plurality of spaced apart thermally-conductive elements in contact with the curvilinear wall surface allowing sufficient cooling of the waveguide while minimizing the amount of high angle light stripped from the waveguide at points of contact with the contact elements.

A beam delivery system for treating target tissue that includes an input for receiving a light beam, a variable attenuator for providing variable attenuation of the light beam, a power and wavelength detection assembly, a spot size adjustment assembly, and a controller. The power and wavelength detection assembly measures the power level of the beam, and detects when unwanted wavelengths are present in the light beam. The spot size adjustment assembly selectively feeds the beam through different optical fibers to achieve different spot sizes of the beam. The controller controls the variable attenuator, the power and wavelength detection assembly, and the spot size adjustment assembly to achieve the desired power and wavelength, and beam spot size.

A method for mounting a cooling assembly for use in a motor vehicle, with the cooling system including a radiator assembly, a charge air cooler, and a condenser. The radiator assembly is mounted to a chassis of the motor vehicle, the charge air cooler is mounted to the radiator assembly, and the condenser is mounted to the charge air cooler so as to dispose the radiator assembly, charge air cooler and condenser in series flow relationship with one another. The radiator assembly includes a frame having two generally U-shaped portions, and a radiator, or heat exchanger, disposed within and mounted to the frame. A first lateral end portion of the radiator is rigidly attached to one of the U-shaped portions of the frame. The opposite lateral end portion of the radiator is resiliently mounted to the other U-shaped portion of the frame, which is accomplished by coupling a pair of leaf springs to the radiator and the frame. The charge air cooler includes a pair of laterally spaced and downwardly extending pins which engage compressible grommet assemblies disposed in the holes of mount brackets attached to the radiator assembly. Compressible grommet assemblies are also disposed between a pair of laterally spaced upper mount flanges attached to the charge air cooler and the mating mount brackets attached to the radiator. One end of the condenser is laterally fixed relative to the charge air cooler, while the opposite end of the condenser includes a pair of vertically spaced pins which engage compressible grommet assemblies disposed within the holes of mount brackets attached to the charge air cooler, so as to accommodate differential lateral thermal growth between the condenser and the charge air cooler.

Radiator, charge air cooler and condenser mounting method

A radiator assembly for use in a motor vehicle, comprising a frame attached to a chassis of a motor vehicle and a radiator disposed within the frame. The radiator includes a core and first and second lateral end portions attached to opposite ends of the core. The first lateral end portion is rigidly mounted to the frame so as to position the radiator relative to the frame, while the second lateral end portion is resiliently mounted to the frame so as to accommodate lateral thermal growth of the radiator relative to the frame. The second lateral end portion is resiliently mounted to the frame by coupling a pair of vertically spaced spring members, each comprising a leaf spring, to the second lateral end portion and to the frame. A pair of multi-pronged mount brackets are attached to the frame, with each of the leaf springs having a first end attached to one of the brackets and a second end attached to the second lateral end portion of the radiator. The position of each of the mount brackets relative to the frame may be adjusted so as to preload the corresponding one of the leaf springs.
