Methods, computer program products and apparatus for providing broadband television service (BTS) are provided. The method includes receiving a channel selection at a receiver located at a service location. The channel selection is correlated to an Internet address. Data is requested from the Internet address. The request is made to a digital subscriber line (DSL) network via a modem. Video data packets containing live streaming video content are received from the Internet address in response to the requesting. The video data packets are received from the DSL network via the modem. The video data packets are assembled into video signals for display on a television and the video signals are transmitted to the television.

Methods, computer program products, and apparatus for providing broadband television service

Caller identification information may be provided for a plurality of radiotelephone networks operated by a plurality of service providers. For example, a registry may be provided including a first serial number and a first identification other than the first serial number for a first radiotelephone registered for service with a first service provider operating a first radiotelephone network. The registry may also include a second serial number and a second identification other than the second serial number for a second radiotelephone registered for service with a second service provider operating a second radiotelephone network. A caller identification request may be accepted from the second radiotelephone network operated by the second service provider wherein the caller identification request includes the first serial number for the first radiotelephone. Responsive to accepting the caller identification request, a caller identification response may be provided to the second radiotelephone network wherein the caller identification response includes the first identification for the first radiotelephone. Related radiotelephone networks and registries are also discussed.

Methods of providing caller identification information and related registries and radiotelephone networks

Methods of processing incoming telephone calls include receiving an incoming telephone call from a caller, identifying the caller associated with the incoming telephone call, and processing the incoming call in response to a call handling rule generated in response to a menu selection made in a previous incoming call from the caller. Processing the incoming call in response to the generated call handling rule may include playing an interactive voice response menu to the incoming caller. The interactive voice response menu may include at least one menu option included in the interactive voice response menu in response to the call handling rule. Corresponding call handling units and computer program products are also provided.

Adaptive incoming call processing

An apparatus and method are provided for bypassing a load coil in a Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) circuit. An interface is provided for making a connection with the DSL circuit and receiving a combined multichannel signal. The combined multichannel signal includes a high frequency or DSL signal and a low frequency signal or voice signal. A high pass filter is utilized to block the voice signal and route the DSL signal over a communications path to bypass the load coil in the DSL circuit. The voice signal is then routed by a low pass filter to the load coil in the DSL circuit.

Apparatus and method for automatically bypassing a load coil in a digital subscriber line circuit

A method for wiring an architectural structure for telephone service includes providing a cable. The cable includes a sheath and first and second pairs of conductor members. The sheath includes first and second longitudinally extending sheath passages and a partition wall extending therebetween. Each of the conductor members is twisted about the other conductor member of its pair. Each of the conductor members includes a conductor and an insulation cover. The first pair of conductor members is disposed in the first sheath passage and the second pair of conductor members is disposed in the second sheath passage such that the sheath surrounds the first and second pairs of conductor members and the first pair of conductor members is separated from the second pair of conductor members by the partition wall. The method further includes: routing the cable through the architectural structure; routing the cable to a telephone service supply connection; and electrically connecting at least the conductors of the first pair of conductor members to the telephone service supply connection.

Cables, systems and methods for wiring a structure for telephone service

An apparatus for protecting and retaining a wire includes a molded body forming a passage adapted to receive and retain the wire between the molded body and a mounting structure. The apparatus also includes at least three apertures through the molded body where at least one aperture is positioned on an opposite side of the passage. At least one fastener is adapted to mount the molded body to the mounting structure while the molded body is adapted to prevent the at least one fastener from abutting the wire.

Wire protector and retainer

An integrated filter and modular jack for filtering a voice signal delivered over a digital subscriber line between a first communication circuit and a second communication circuit where the voice signal includes analog and digital portions. The modular filter jack includes a connector for receiving the voice signal from a first communication circuit, a high pass filter, and/or a low pass filter. The high pass filter includes a capacitor operatively associated with the connector to block the analog portion of the voice signal while passing the digital portion. The low pass filter includes an inductor operatively associated with the connector to block the digital portion of the voice signal while passing the analog portion. The modular filter jack also includes a receptacle operatively associated with the high pass filter and/or the low pass filter for receiving a connection element to make electrical contact between the first and second communication circuits.

A device for detecting a transmission of at least one of a first communication signal and a second communication signal in a communication network is disclosed. The first communication signal is transmitted within a first frequency band, and the second communication signal is transmitted within a second frequency band. The device includes a housing and a filter circuit in the housing. The filter circuit is adapted to communicatively interface with the communication network and includes a first circuit path for passing the first communication signal, wherein the first circuit path includes a first indicator for providing a first indication of the passed first communication signal. The filter circuit further includes a second circuit path for passing the second communication signal, wherein the second circuit path includes a second indicator for providing a second indication of the passed second communication signal.

An apparatus for receiving and retaining an independently powered light includes an elongated molded body having a first aperture extending through the length of the elongated molded body. The first aperture is further adapted to receive and retain the independently powered light. The elongated molded body also has a second aperture extending through the length of the elongated molded body. The second aperture is also adapted for attachment to a tool.

An apparatus for guiding wire into or out of a raceway includes a raceway attachment, a retainer and a wire guide. The wire guide is attached to the raceway attachment by the retainer. Further, the wire guide is capable of receiving and guiding the wire such that the wire does not contact an end of a raceway.

A layered fiber optic cable having a compressible layer for protecting the fiber optic core from damaging displacement due to force from the freezing of trapped ambient water. As ambient water within a protective conduit freezes, the water expands, applying a force on the fiber optic cable within the conduit. The compressible layer absorbs the expansion of the freezing water by compressing, therefore minimizing displacement of the fiber optic core and resulting signal degradation.

An apparatus for guiding fish tape through a conduit includes a rounded head having an abutting end, a stabilizing skirt and an attachment mechanism. The stabilizing skirt is attached to the rounded head at the abutting end of the rounded head. In addition, the attachment mechanism is connected to the rounded head within the stabilizing skirt.

Fish tape guide and method of using same

An end assembly for a tape rule is disclosed. This end assembly has a hooking member for attachment to a free end of the tape rule. The hooking member includes a plate section, an elbow section, and an abutment section. The plate section is for longitudinal alignment along the free end of the tape rule. The elbow section upwardly curves from the plate section to the abutment section. The abutment section downwardly curves to a substantially perpendicular orientation to the plate section, and the abutment section downwardly extends below the tape rule. The hooking member is positioned to an article to be measured, and the abutment section contacts and frictionally engages an edge of the article.

End assembly for tape rule

A wire protector for protecting a wire during mounting of the wire on a mounting surface includes a retaining member configured to engage the wire. The retaining member includes a top portion and first and second arms extending generally perpendicularly from the top portion. Junctures between the top portion and the first and second arms are arcuate to engage the wire therein. At least one securing member is connected with the retaining member and adapted to position the retaining member on the surface.
