Lighting fixture

A lighting fixture includes a housing, a light source, and a lens. The housing includes a base and first and second sidewalls. Each of the sidewalls extend obtusely from the base. The light source is operably coupled to the base and includes a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs). The lens is operably coupled to at least one of the sidewalls and cooperates with the sidewalls to define an interior cavity. The plurality of LEDs are arranged such that light emitted therefrom is directed from the base toward at least one of the first or second sidewalls and is redirected to the interior cavity a first time.

An optic panel, an LED lighting system including the optic panel, and a luminaire including the LED lighting system are described. The optic panel includes an optic disposed within a cut out of a base plate, and one or more supports fixedly couple the optic with the base plate. Each support preferably touches the optic at only a single location. In some aspects, the supports provide sufficient support to the optic such that the entire optic panel can be molded as a single, monolithic mass and the supports do not or only minimally interfere with the desired total internal reflection of the optics because of the minimal engagement with the supports and/or the placement of the engagement with the supports. The optic panel may be incorporated into the LED lighting system, for example, forming a secondary optics for the LED lighting system.

An electronic component includes a housing, a heat-generating component, and a heat sink that is insulated from the housing. The housing is made at least partly of a first metallic material. The heat-generating component is disposed in the housing. The heat sink, which is made at least partly of a second metallic material, is disposed adjacent the heat-generating component and configured to dissipate heat from the heat-generating component. An optional insulating element can be disposed between the housing and the heat sink and insulates the second metallic material from the first metallic material.
