A rigid fastener, for securing to one another adjacent portions of a cover member made of resiliently deformable material, has an end portion with an outward end section of relatively small outside diameter and an axially adjacent inward section of relatively large outside diameter. The end portion of the fastener is engagable in either of two positions in a corresponding recess formed into at least one of the adjacent portions of the cover piece, affording a high level of holding power in its fully inserted position and affording a low level of holding power in a partially inserted position.

Pieces of thermal insulating molded rubber are configured to conform to under-sink piping, so as to provide protection against burn injury from contact with hot surfaces. The pieces are telescopically and interengaged with one another at selected relative orientations, to cooperatively enclose a P-trap assembly, and the piece covering the J-bend is formed with a protrusion to accommodate clean-out structure provided thereon.

A one-piece body of thermal insulation comprises a first component having valve-covering and pipe-covering portions, and a second, perpendicular component for covering the water-supply tube. An integral cover component on the forward end of the valve-covering portion is displaceable for access to the valve handle, and can be secured in its closed position.

Thermal insulation for angle-valve piping

A fastener has a head component with a channel in which are engaged bosses of a member to be secured, which bosses cooperatively form a passage for receiving the fastener. A tail component of the fastener is used for threading it through the apertures, and may thereafter be broken away to leave an inobtrusive body component, which may be released by rotating it about its axis.

A one-piece body of thermal insulation comprises of a valve-coveting portion and a separable pipe-covering portion. A section of the pipe-covering portion is dimensioned and configured for engagement within a passage of the valve-coveting portion, enabling facile and complete coverage of a hot-water valve and its associated supply pipe.

Angle valve insulation

An insulation system comprises a J-shaped piece and an L-shaped piece, each piece having an end portion of circular cross section. One of the end portions is enlarged relative to the other, thus enabling telescopic interengagement of the end portions and rotatable assembly of the insulation pieces.
