A percutaneous circulatory support device includes a housing having an inlet and an outlet. A shaft is rotatably fixed relative to the housing. An impeller is disposed within the housing and is rotatably supported by the shaft. The impeller is configured to rotate relative to the shaft and the housing to cause blood to flow into the inlet, through the housing, and out of the outlet. A keeper is coupled to the shaft distally relative to the impeller, and the keeper inhibits axial motion of the impeller relative to the shaft.

Percutaneous circulatory support system facilitating reduced hemolysis

A blood pump includes an impeller; a drive shaft coupled to the impeller and configured to rotate with the impeller; and a rotor coupled to the drive shaft and configured to rotate with the drive shaft. The rotor includes a driven magnet having an outer surface. A corrosion-resistant coating may be disposed on the outer surface of the driven magnet. A stator is disposed adjacent the rotor and configured to drive the rotor, causing the rotor to rotate; and a motor is configured to drive the stator. A protection assembly may be disposed adjacent the stator and configured to receive an end of the drive shaft, and may include a protection assembly housing enclosing a protective fluid chamber, the protective fluid chamber including the driven magnet and at least a portion of a bearing configured to engage the end of the drive shaft.

Devices and methods for assisting blood flow are provided. The device includes a housing with an inlet and an outlet, and a fluid barrier separating the housing into a first section containing the inlet and outlet, and a second section. The device also includes an impeller shaft coupled to an impeller and a first magnet in the first section of the housing, and a drive shaft coupled to a second magnet in the second section of the housing. The first and second magnets are arranged such that rotation of the drive shaft rotates the second magnet causing rotation of the first magnet, which drives the impeller.

An example polypectomy device may include an elongate sheath having a proximal end region and a distal end region. A shaft may be slidably disposed within the sheath. A handle may be coupled to the proximal end region of the sheath. The handle may be designed to axially shift the shaft relative to the sheath. A snare may be coupled to the shaft. The snare may include a first region, a traction region, and a distal tip region. The first region may have a non-circular cross-sectional shape. The traction region may include a plurality of traction members. At a position between two adjacent traction members the snare may have a reduced cross-sectional area relative to the first region. The distal tip region may have a circular cross-sectional shape.

An example occlusive implant is disclosed. The example occlusive implant includes an expandable framework configured to shift between a first configuration and a second expanded configuration, an occlusive member disposed along at least a portion of an outer surface of the expandable framework and a resilient member coupled to the occlusive member. Further, the resilient member is configured to keep the occlusive member taut against an outer surface of the expandable member in both the first configuration and the second configuration.

A medical device may include an insertion device having a proximal end, a distal end, and a lumen extending therethrough. A snare device may be configured to transition between a retracted state within the lumen of the insertion device, and an extended state extending distally of the insertion device. The snare device may comprise a wire. A member may be disposed within the lumen of the insertion device. The member may be configured to maintain legs of the snare device in an open snare loop configuration in the extended state. In the open snare loop configuration, the wire may include an arcuate loop.
