An air admittance valve which when subjected to a negative pressure condition vents a pipe system to an ambient environment. Generally, the air admittance valve includes a housing, a cartridge, and a sealing member. The housing includes one or more vents disposed in its wall and may be engaged with the pipe system at one end. The cartridge may have one or more inlets defining one or more inlet openings, where the one or more inlets are connected to a central chamber that has an opening with a sealing structure. The sealing member interacts with the sealing structure of the cartridge to allow one-way airflow from the central chamber to the pipe system. The cartridge and sealing member may be inserted into the housing such that the one or more inlet openings substantially align with the one or more vents in the housing.

Air admittance valve

A pneumatic test plug and inflation assembly for the same are provided. The pneumatic test plug may include an inflatable bladder formed by a bladder wall that is elastically deformable, the bladder wall having at least one open end. A housing may be disposed in the open end of the bladder wall, the housing having a mounting surface. An inflation valve may be mounted to the mounting surface, with the inflation valve having an interior end in fluid communication with an interior area of the bladder. The inflation valve may define a main air passageway through which air is introduced into the interior area. The mounting surface may be recessed into the interior area of the bladder relative to the open end in the bladder wall such that the housing defines a cavity within the inflatable bladder.

An improved device for use as a lid with integral handle for attachment to a can, the lid portion having two concentric sets of threads to engage a container having one of two spout diameters, an applicator or swab being adapted to extend from the handle in which it is situated, the extension distance of the swab being adjustable within the handle, the swab being useful as an applicator for applying liquid coatings, solvents, adhesives, or other materials. The invention also includes a variety of attachments for use with the lid and handle.

A plug having a pressure release valve for releasing excess pressure within a bladder of the plug. The release valve has a valve core with a pressure release passage therethrough with an inlet in fluid communication with an interior void of the bladder and an outlet in fluid communication with the external environment outside the bladder. An elastomeric seal under hoop stress about a portion of the valve core seals the outlet until overinflation of the bladder causes the seal to become elastically deflected and unseal the outlet, thereby allowing excess pressure to be released. When the overinflation no longer exists because of the pressure release, the hoop stress of the seal causes resealing of the outlet. An inflation valve may also be provided to inflate the bladder, and with the inlet opening into an inflation passageway into the bladder's interior.

A hanger assembly for suspending a pipe from a support comprises a J-hook engageable with the pipe. The hook has a vertically extending shank. A shank extension has a leg projecting vertically from a sleeve. The shank of the J-hook is configured and dimensioned for axial insertion to a selected extent into the sleeve. First fasteners serve to secure the thus inserted shank within the sleeve, and second fasteners serve to attach the leg to the support.

In one aspect of the present invention, an ice maker valve box has a housing having a cylindrical side wall leading from a front edge bordering a circular front opening to rounded circular shoulder joined to a flat back wall. The front edge and back wall are arranged in parallel front and rear planes. A pair of first mounting tabs projects laterally and horizontally from the side wall in a first intermediate plane located between and parallel to the front and rear planes. The first mounting tabs have apertures therein for receiving first fasteners. Ledges extend rearwardly from the first mounting tabs to the rear plane. A pair of second mounting tabs joins the first mounting tabs and projects laterally and vertically from said side wall in other intermediate planes parallel to said front, first intermediate, and rear planes. The second mounting tabs define passages for receiving second fasteners. A circular cover is detachably mounted on the housing at the front opening, the cover having a cylindrical skirt received in the side wall and an annular rim projecting radially from the front ledge.
