A conductor trimmer may be provided. The conductor trimmer may include a grip and a trimmer. The grip may include a grip handle and a trimmer groove. The trimmer may include a trimmer handle. The trimmer may engage the trimmer groove. With trimmer snuggly attached to both the grip and a conductor, the trimmer may be rotated about conductor by a user holding the grip handle stationary and rotating the trimmer by the trimmer handle. As the trimmer rotates about the conductor, a first roller rail and a second roller rail may ride in the trimmer groove as a blade cuts layers of strands from the conductor.

Disclosed herein are methods and pressure vessels for solid-state microcellular processing of thermoplastic rolls and sheets. In one embodiment, the present invention is directed to a method for making a gas impregnated interleaved roll, which method comprises: providing a pressure vessel having an internal pressure chamber and a rotatable shaft horizontally positioned within the pressure chamber; placing an interleaved roll about the rotatable shaft and within the pressure chamber, wherein the interleaved roll is made from a thermoplastic material sheet interleaved together with a gas-channeling material sheet; pressurizing the pressure chamber to a selected pressure; rotating the rotatable shaft having the interleaved roll thereabouts (thereby rotating the interleaved roll) while under pressure for a selected period of time; and depressurizing the internal chamber to yield the gas impregnated interleaved roll. In other embodiments, the invention is directed to multi-chambered pressure vessels for gas impregnation of thermoplastic rolls, sheets, and films.

Methods and pressure vessels for solid-state microcellular processing of thermoplastic rolls or sheets

The present invention relates to apparatuses and methods for making interleaved cylindrical rolls from a polymer roll and a porous roll. The interleaved rolls disclosed herein are useful for subsequent high pressure gas impregnation and solid-state foam processing. In one embodiment, an interleaving apparatus comprises: a first rotatable platform for unwinding a first cylindrical roll of a first sheet material, the first rotatable platform being rotatable about a first central axis; a second rotatable platform for unwinding a second cylindrical roll of a second sheet material, the second rotatable platform being rotatable about a second central axis; and a third rotatable platform for winding, while the first and second materials are unwinding, the first sheet material together with the second sheet material to yield the interleaved cylindrical roll, the third rotatable platform being rotatable about a third axis and proximate to the first and second rotatable platforms.

Apparatus and method for interleaving polymeric roll for gas impregnation and solid-state foam processing

A head tensioning mechanism (10) for varying the tension on a drum head (14) during play is disclosed. In a preferred embodiment, the head tensioning mechanism (10) incorporates a pair of paddles (52) extending along opposite sides of the drum body (28) such that the paddles (52) may be squeezed between the legs of the player for variably adjusting the head tension in response to the squeezing pressure applied by the player. A device for supporting the drum in an upright position and incorporating a treadle (82) for operating the variable head tensioning mechanism (10) in response to foot pressure is also disclosed.

Variable tensioning mechanism for drum head

A rescue axe is used for forcibly entering a vehicle. The axe comprises a head portion located at one end of a handle portion. The head portion includes a piercing entry section, a cutting section, and an impacting section. The entry section includes a metal piercing member on one side of the head portion. The impacting section includes a striking edge on a side opposite the metal piercing member. The cutting section includes a blade cutting edge extending rearwardly from an open mouth located on a side of the head portion between the one side including the piercing member and the opposite side including the striking edge. The head portion includes a blade member located between the blade cutting edge and the striking edge. The handle portion extends rearwardly from a further side of the head portion opposite the open mouth side of the head portion.
