A defrost airflow assembly for a heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) case, having a defrost channel starting in a mixing chamber and terminating in a defrost outlet with a defrost door, a demist channel starting in the mixing chamber and terminating in a demist outlet with a demist door, and a bypass channel connected directly with the post-door defrost channel and the post-door demist channel, and indirectly with the pre-door demist channel and the pre-door defrost channel. The first bypass channel is configured to allow airflow from the mixing chamber to the defrost outlet when the defrost door is in the closed position and the demist door is in the open position.

Defrost airflow assembly for a heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) case

A blower device for a heating, ventilation and air conditioning system, including: a blower housing defining an internal volume with an inlet and an outlet; a blower wheel with blower blades, arranged within the internal volume of the blower housing; a motor configured to rotate the blower wheel in a first direction around a central axis; a preswirler arranged within the inlet upstream of the blower wheel and including a plurality of vanes extending towards the blower wheel. Each vane of the plurality of vanes includes a first section and a second section, both extending along the central axis toward the blower wheel, with the second section being closer to the blower wheel than the first section is. The vanes of the plurality of vanes slope in a second direction as they extend along the central axis towards the blower wheel, the second direction being opposite to the first direction.

Blower device

A HVAC system () includes a housing () with at least one first inlet () and at least one second inlet () formed thereon, at least one first door (), at least one second door () and an intermediate door (). The first inlet () and the second inlet () is for ingress of a first fluid stream and a second fluid stream inside the housing (). The first door () and the second door () moves with respect to the first inlet () and the second inlet () respectively to define an open configuration, a closed configuration and a partially open configuration thereof. The intermediate door () is disposed between the first inlet () and the second inlet () and moves between a deployed and an un-deployed configuration to respectively disrupt and allow fluid flow there across. The intermediate door () is a sliding door.

The assembly includes a first door configured for allowing passage of a first air flow, a second door configured for allowing passage of a second air flow, obtaining means configured to obtain a temperature command indicating a target temperature for a passenger cabin, identifying means configured to identify a pattern of non-linear door kinematics for mixing the first air flow and the second air flow based on the temperature command, coordinating means configured to coordinate the non-linear door kinematics between the first door and the second door, and mixing means configured to mix the first air flow and the second air flow.

Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) assembly for managing air mixing door kinematics and method for managing the same

A compressor controller for operating a compressor within an industrial automation environment is provided. The compressor controller includes a control module, configured to control the compressor via control settings, and a machine learning module, coupled with the control module. The machine learning module is configured to receive a set of supervised data related to the compressor, and to train with the supervised data to produce a Newtonian physics model representing the inputs and outputs of the compressor within the industrial automation environment. The machine learning module is also configured to receive performance data related to the compressor, receive environment data related to the compressor, and to process the performance data and environment data to produce predicted future performance data for the compressor, and to produce control settings for the compressor.

An apparatus includes a sensor lens defining an axis, a first nozzle and a second nozzle positioned a same perpendicular direction from the axis and spaced along a direction parallel to the axis, and an air source fluidly connected to the nozzles. A sensor assembly includes a housing, a blower fixed relative to the housing, an air tunnel, a filter, a first drain, and a second drain. The air tunnel includes an inlet, a first turn, a second turn, a first portion extending upward from the inlet to the first turn, a second portion extending downward from the first turn to the second turn, and a third portion extending from the second turn to the blower. The filter is positioned between the first portion and the first turn. The first drain extends through the first portion. The second drain extends through the third portion.

Moisture control for sensor assembly

An electric musical string instrument, particularly an electric guitar, has a body structure carrying fret assemblies and at least one string extending lengthwise over the fret assemblies. Each fret assembly includes at least one resistive element which is associated with a string contact surface of that fret assembly. The effective resistance of the resistive element changes in dependence upon transverse deflection of the string, when in contact with the string contact surface, to effect bending of the note being played. Preferably the string contact surface is formed by the resistive element.

Electric musical string instruments

An electric string instrument, e.g. an electric guitar, has one or more resistive elements associated with each fret whereby sideways deflection of a string while in contact with a fret creates a change in the effective resistive value of that fret. This may be used to provide 'blending' of a note. Each such fret has one conductor, thus enabling a 144 wire harness in the neck of a guitar to be reduced to 24 conductive paths, which may be provided on a printed circuit board. Preferably both the strings and the frets are electrically scanned. The instrument may be employed as a MIDI guitar controller or an audio guitar or simultaneously as a combination of both. A guitarist can use a normal playing style, without special adaptation, to obtain a full range of expression, including pick velocity.

Security cable

The present invention involves a multiple protection security device which is used to prevent and/or detect burglary of articles, particularly of consumer goods and the like. In one embodiment, the present invention is a remote signal-actuating device for attachment to articles which includes a fluid-containing member which releases detection fluid in response to a predetermined force. In a second embodiment, an electronic security device includes such a fluid-containing member, and, in a third embodiment, a security device for physically restraining an article includes such a fluid-containing member. The detection fluid may be a gas, a liquid or a mixture of these and it may be a coloring agent, an odor containing fluid, a flourescent or phosphorescent dye, a radioactive material or the like.

Lasso coupling for a merchandise display security alarm

A three-wire alarm system is disclosed which features a plurality of plug-in strips each carrying a plurality of three-connector receptacles. These strips may be interconnected one to the next and to a battery-powered alarm box by identical jumper cables with three-pinned plugs. Other cables with identical plugs are fastened to valuable items which a merchant desires to display. When these items are placed on display, they are plugged into a nearby plug-in strip. The items may be plugged in without setting off the alarm; but removing any plug or cutting, shorting, or breaking the cables produces an alarm that can be turned off only with a key. The three-contact receptacles of the invention contain a spring that (1) serves to interconnect two of contacts when the receptacle is not in use, (2) contacts the pin mating with the third contact when a plug is inserted, and (3) is dragged by that pin into contact with one of the other contacts when the plug is withdrawn thereby causing an alarm.
