Techniques for deploying a server stack having a cross-server dependency are disclosed. A deployment engine initiates a deployment process for a server stack. The deployment engine provisions servers of one server type ('requisite servers'). The deployment engine attempts to provision servers of another server type ('dependent servers'). The deployment engine executes a test that requires the dependent servers to invoke a service executed by the requisite servers. Based on the test results, the deployment engine determines that an operational requirement of the dependent servers is not satisfied. The deployment engine modifies a configuration for the requisite servers to satisfy the operational requirement of the dependent servers. The deployment engine re-provisions the requisite servers using the modified configuration. The deployment engine completes the deployment process for the server stack.

Deploying a server stack having a cross-server dependency

Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with deploying application packages are described. In one embodiment, a current version of an application package is stored. An enterprise server deploys the current version. Upon a first user signing on to the enterprise server, providing the first user with access to the current version. A modified version of an application package is stored and deployed. Upon a second user signing on to the enterprise server, providing the second user with access to the modified version. The current version and the modified version are simultaneously active on the enterprise server. Subsequent users that sign on are only given access to the modified version and are not permitted access to the current version. Upon the first user signing out, deleting the current version, and causing the modified version to become a new current version.

Zero downtime application package deployment

Embodiments of the invention provide systems and methods for implementing process metadata triggers and events. More specifically, embodiments of the present invention allow for process metadata events to be defined and generated, including the program code and interfaces that may define the triggering criteria and actions associated with the events. Certain embodiments include ongoing evaluations of triggering criteria for events, including criteria both internal and external to an enterprise system, and generating new event occurrences based on the evaluations of triggering criteria for events. Events and event occurrences may be tracked and monitored, and programmatic actions may be initiated in response to the creation or modification of an event or an event occurrence, including modification of enterprise system software, generation and transmission of targeted user notifications, the generation and customization of electronic documents, and the like.

Process metadata triggers and events

Arrangements for executing enterprise resource planning software in a plurality of modes are presented. A graphical user interface may allow an administrator to select from the plurality of modes for executing the enterprise resource planning software, such as a test mode and a production mode. A selection of one of the modes may be received. The selected mode may be linked with a particular initialization file that is used to initialize the enterprise resource software. The enterprise resource planning software may be initialized and run using the selected initialization file.

Software execution using multiple initialization modes

A method, system, and computer program product for transparent configuration of virtual hosts to support timestamping of documents that are processed in multiple time zones within an enterprise platform. Embodiments use network address translation and virtual host initialization techniques to configure a port listener such that the port listener receives IP packets from the network interface and uses the subnet's network address IP address to map to a time zone correspondence. When the identified time zone corresponds to a first time zone, then the port listener forwards the IP packet to a first virtual host process that has been initialized with a first time zone virtual time clock used for timestamping. When the identified time zone corresponds to a second time zone, the port listener forwards the IP packet to a second virtual host process that has been initialized with a second time zone virtual time clock used for timestamping.
