A first user device associated with a first dependent user may receive a request to add a second dependent user associated with a second user device to a contacts list of the first user device, and may provide a first device identifier, identifying the first user device, to the second user device via a short-range communication. The first user device may receive, from the second user device, a second device identifier, identifying the second user device, via a short-range communication, and may provide the second device identifier to an approval system. The first user device may receive, from the approval system, an indication of approval to add the second dependent user to the contacts list, and may add the second dependent user to the contacts list based on the indication. The first user device may communicate with the second user device, via a telecommunications network, based on the contacts list.

Systems and methods for automatically connecting managed devices

An exemplary augmentation system accesses imagery captured by a sensor of a first device, identifies a user depicted in the imagery, determines that the user is associated with a second device, determines that the second device is located within a predefined proximity range of the first device, accesses, based on the user being depicted in the imagery and the second device being located within the predefined proximity range of the first device, shared content associated with the identified user, and provides the shared content for display as an augmentation for the imagery captured by the sensor of the first device. Corresponding methods and systems are also disclosed.

Proximity-based content sharing as an augmentation for imagery captured by a camera of a device

A mobile device receives from a first client application a request to exchange first data over a mobile communication network. The mobile device determines whether the first client application is associated with a first persona or a second persona of a user. Upon determining the first client application is associated with the first persona, the mobile device establishes a first data connection based on a first Access Point Name (APN) network identifier with the mobile communication network and routes the first data over the first data connection. The mobile device also receives from a second client device a request to exchange second data over the mobile communication network. Upon determining the second client application is associated with the second persona, the mobile device establishes a second data connection based on a second APN network identifier with the mobile communication network and routes the second data over the second data connection.

Provided is an intelligent mobile wireless access point device that is set-up to allow for remote configuration of the access point device, via a mobile communication network, by a configuration server. A configuration file for a mobile wireless access point device is maintained by a service provider in a configuration server. The configuration file is delivered to the mobile wireless access point devices over the mobile communication network, which allows multiple mobile wireless access point devices to be configured substantially simultaneously and without the multiple mobile wireless access point devices being physically located at an enterprise location. In addition, the remote configuration examples of a mobile wireless access point device mitigate the opportunities for unauthorized use of the mobile wireless access point, and provide additional security features for authorized users.
