A hose fitting assembly for a collapse-resistant hose, includes a sleeve having a forward and rearward sleeve end portion, the rearward sleeve end portion having an opening adapted to receive a hose end portion; a fitting having an optionally flared rearward fitting end portion operatively coupled to the forward sleeve end portion, the rearward fitting end portion having an internal surface forming an internal cavity configured to receive the hose end portion; and an optionally threaded nipple operatively couplable to the fitting and extending rearwardly through the internal cavity of the fitting, the nipple being configured to fit within an internal hose passage. The fitting assembly may include a seal mounted in fitting and sealable against the core tube upon crimping. The fitting assembly may include a support ring between skived and unskived hose regions. A collapse-resistant hose includes a carcass with an optional unbonded sacrificial layer is also provided.

Fitting assembly for collapse-resistant hose

A metallic fitting assembly employs a clip-to-body attachment for locking a tube end of a fluid system component to the fitting assembly. The fitting assembly includes a fitting body defining a fluid flow path between a first end and a second end opposite from the first end. The first end receives a tube end of a first fluid system component, and the fitting body defines a clip slot adjacent to the first end, and a material of the fitting body includes metal; and a clip wherein a material of the clip includes metal. When the tube end is inserted through the first end of the fitting body, the clip is inserted through the clip slot and around the tube end to engage the tube end in a connected state in which the tube end is locked within the fitting body. The fitting body includes a main body and a ring end that define the clip slot between the main body and the ring end, the main body and the ring end being attached to each other by a bridge. For freeze resistance, the ring end minimizes distortion of the ring end to 0.010″ (0.25 mm) or less at a tensile load of 500 lbf (2200 Newtons). A ratio of a cross-sectional area of the ring end to an inner diameter of the fitting body may be from 21% to 73%. The bridge may have a width within a range of 20% to 70% of an outer diameter of the fitting body.

Freeze resistant quick connect fitting

A hose assembly includes an inner hose component, a first braid of reinforcement fiber material that extends around the inner hose component, and a second braid of reinforcement fiber material that extends around the first braid. The first braid and the second braid each has a 3 over 3 braid design, and the first braid has a first modulus and the second braid has a second modulus different from the first modulus. The first braid may be a high strength braid having a strength greater than a strength of the second braid, and the second braid may be a high modulus braid having a modulus greater than a modulus of the first braid. The hose assembly optionally may have a third braid with a high angle configuration of the braid segments. The hose assembly may be combined with an enhanced fitting for securing the hose assembly to fluid system equipment.

High performance aramid braided hose

Electrically-heated hose assembly including a hose and a first and a second fitting. The hose is constructed as having a core tube, a pair of spiral wound wires surrounding the core, and a jacket surrounding the core tube. A first end of each of the fittings is within a corresponding end of the hose, with a second end of the fittings extending beyond the hose end. The wires are wound around at least a portion of the second fitting end of a corresponding one of the fittings.

Method of making an electrically-heated hose assembly

A moldable plastic guard for use in a protective guard for a conduit such as a hoses, tubing, wire, cable, and fiber optics. The guard is receivable over the surface of the conduit and is attached to a nut. The nut may be used to join the end of the conduit to a fitting or other connection.

Plastic guard for airbrake tubing and coils

A flexible hose adapted construction for conveying fluids under pressure. The construction includes a core tube having a circumferential inner core tube surface and an opposing circumferential outer core tube surface. A first reinforcement layer surrounds the outer core tube surface, and is formed of one or more filaments of a first fiber. A second fiber reinforcement layer surrounds the first reinforcement layer, and is formed of one or more filaments of a second fiber. The first and second reinforcement layers are bonded together by means of a bonding agent such as an adhesive, resin, plasticizer, tackifier, or solvent, the application of which is controlled to wet only a portion of the filaments of the reinforcement layers.
