A simple one-piece, hand held tool for repeatedly removing captive devices used in rock climbing, i.e. jam nuts, stoppers, wedges, chocks, tees, etc. This is a manual operated metallic tool consisting of a handle portion with a plurality of weight reducing and attaching holes covered with a non-metallic resilient material with laterial appertenances symmetrically located, conforming to the users hand with the shank tapered leading to the tip consisting of an offset appendage, with a radiused recess and a flat 90.degree. perpendicular to the shank forming a hook and a dished end, used to both pull or push a lodged climbing devices positioned in a rock fissures.

An integral hand held measuring device for indicating air temperature, wind velocity and a method of determining wind chill factor having the temperature indicated by a glass bulb thermometer, the air speed by a swinging pendulum indicator and the chill factor ascertained by printed matter affixed therefore to the body of the invention, the body of which encloses and protects the instrument and is composed of a metallic or non-metallic structure of convenient size to be transported and carried by the user.

This invention broadly relates to instep crampons for footwear and more specifically to improvements on a quick detachable, anti-slipping device which can be readily mounted on a boot or shoe with a novel strapping arrangement providing traction for walking on ice or crusted snow.
