A method of controlling a viscosity of fuel in a fuel control system with a vibratory meter is provided. The method includes providing the fuel to the vibratory meter, measuring a property of the fuel with the vibratory meter, and generating a signal based on the measured property of the fuel. The method also includes providing the signal to a temperature control unit configured to control the temperature of the fuel provided to the vibratory meter.

Controlling a viscosity of fuel in a fuel control system with a vibratory meter

A method for determining system accuracy is provided. The method includes the steps of inputting hardware specifications related to a supply flowmeter into a computing device and inputting hardware specifications related to a return flowmeter into the computing device. Additionally, the method includes inputting system parameters into the computing device. System accuracy is calculated with system logic, wherein the system logic receives the inputs based on hardware specifications related to the supply flowmeter, the hardware specifications related to the return flowmeter, and the system parameters. The calculated system accuracy is stored in a computer-readable storage media, and the calculated system accuracy is output.

A meter electronics () for a vibrating meter () is provided. The vibrating meter () includes a sensor assembly located within a pipeline (). The sensor assembly () is in fluid communication with one or more fluid switches (). The meter electronics () is configured to measure one or more flow characteristics of a fluid flowing through the sensor assembly (). The meter electronics () is further configured to receive a first fluid switch signal () indicating a fluid condition within the pipeline () from a first fluid switch () of the one or more fluid switches. The meter electronics () is further configured to correct the one or more flow characteristics if the fluid condition is outside a threshold value or band.

System and method for preventing false flow measurements in a vibrating meter

Meter electronics () for quantifying a fluid being transferred is provided. The meter electronics () includes an interface () configured to communicate with a flowmeter assembly of a vibratory flowmeter and receive a vibrational response and a processing system () coupled to the interface (). The processing system () is configured to measure a volume flow and a density for a predetermined time portion of the fluid transfer, determine if the fluid transfer is non-aerated during the predetermined time portion, if the predetermined time portion is non-aerated then add a volume-density product to an accumulated volume-density product and add the volume flow to an accumulated volume flow, and determine a non-aerated volume-weighted density for the fluid transfer by dividing the accumulated volume-density product by the accumulated volume flow.

Meter electronics and fluid quantification method for a fluid being transferred

Meter electronics () for quantifying a fluid being transferred is provided. The meter electronics () includes an interface () configured to communicate with a flowmeter assembly of a vibratory flowmeter and receive a vibrational response and a processing system () coupled to the interface (). The processing system () is configured to measure a mass flow and a density for a predetermined time portion of the fluid transfer, determine if the fluid transfer is non-aerated during the predetermined time portion, if the predetermined time portion is non-aerated then add a mass-density product to an accumulated mass-density product and add the mass flow to an accumulated mass flow, and determine a non-aerated mass-weighted density for the fluid transfer by dividing the accumulated mass-density product by the accumulated mass flow.

Meter electronics () for determining a liquid flow fraction in a gas flow material flowing through a flow meter () is provided according to an embodiment of the invention. The meter electronics () includes an interface () for receiving a first sensor signal and a second sensor signal from the flow meter () and a processing system () in communication with the interface (). The processing system () is configured to receive the first and second sensor signals from the interface (), determine a substantially instantaneous flow stream density of the gas flow material using the first sensor signal and the second sensor signal, compare the substantially instantaneous flow stream density to at least one of a predetermined gas density that is representative of a gas flow fraction of the gas flow material and a predetermined liquid density that is representative of a liquid flow fraction, and determine the liquid flow fraction from the comparison.

Meter electronics and methods for determining a liquid flow fraction in a gas flow material

A single input, multiple output flow meter () is provided. The flow meter () includes an intake conduit () and a flow divider (). The flow meter () further includes a first flow sensor element () coupled to the flow divider (), including a first output conduit (), and is configured to generate a first flow signal. The flow meter () further includes at least a second flow sensor element () coupled to the flow divider (), including a second output conduit (), and is configured to generate a second flow signal. The input flow can be metered through the first output conduit () by the first flow sensor element (), can be metered through the second output conduit () by the second flow sensor element (), or can be simultaneously metered through both the first output conduit () by the first flow sensor element () and through the second output conduit () by the second flow sensor element ().

Single input, multiple output flow meter

The fluid delivery system comprises a Coriolis mass flowmeter, a pump, a recirculation valve, and/or a back-pressure valve. The fluid delivery system prevents the measurement of a multiphase fluid flow without the need for an air eliminator and strainer. The Coriolis mass flowmeter measures the density value of the fluid product being delivered from a fluid source to a destination. The Coriolis mass flowmeter compares the measured density value to at least one of an upper threshold density value and a lower threshold density value. If the measured density value exceeds the at least one of the upper density value or the lower density value, the flowmeter automatically shuts down the pump and closes the back-pressure valve to stop the delivery of the fluid product from the fluid source to the destination to prevent the measurement of a multiphase fluid flow.

Fluid delivery system

An apparatus and method for sterilizing items includes a sterilizing chamber that is evacuated. A refrigerant in liquid form expands within the evacuated chamber and rapidly reduces the temperature on the surface of any of the items within the chamber. Thereafter the temperature may rapidly return to room temperature. The rapid temperature changes effectively kill any organisms at or near the surface of any of the items within the chamber.
