Methods and systems for synopsizing videos of an incident from multiple moving video cameras. One system includes an electronic processor configured to receive a first video from a first moving video camera, receive a second video from a second moving video camera, determine a first motion characteristic of the first video, and determine a second motion characteristic of the second video. The electronic processor is further configured to generate a comparison between the first motion characteristic and the second motion characteristic, modify the second video based on the comparison such that the second motion characteristic aligns with the first motion characteristic, and generate, after modifying the second video, a combined video including at least a portion of both the first video and the second video.

Synopsizing videos from multiple moving video cameras

A force-scalable stationary interface control is provided. The control includes a knob-like structure including an axis and a fixed surface located at least partially around the axis, and a touch sensor located at least partially around the fixed surface, the touch sensor configured to sense a plurality of different levels of applied pressure and locations of touch input. The control further includes at least one output device. The control further includes a controller configured to: identify a first level of applied pressure sensed at the touch sensor, identify a scrolling action based on a detected change in locations of the touch input sensed at the touch sensor, identify a current scale of the scrolling action based on an identified first level of applied pressure, and control the at least one output device to provide an identified current scale and an identified scrolling action.

A stationary interface control knob includes a body having a fixed substantially-cylindrical surface with a first axis, and a flexible touch panel sensor having a sensor surface at least partially in cylindrical form with a spaced relationship from the fixed substantially-cylindrical surface. The sensor surface has a second axis coinciding with the first axis. The flexible touch panel sensor senses a user interaction with the fixed substantially-cylindrical surface and generates an interface signal in response thereto. Also discloses are method of controlling the stationary interface control knob.

Stationary interface control and method for using the same

A method and apparatus for providing tactile feedback to a rotary knob is provided herein. During operation a rotary knob will have a surface pattern that will change smoothly from one pattern to another based on device functions currently being controlled by the rotary knob. So, for example, when the rotary knob is controlling a volume function, the surface will have a first textured pattern, and when the rotary knob is controlling a channel function, the surface will have a second, differing, textured pattern.
