A method for data communication between a first node and a second node includes forming one or more redundancy messages from data messages at the first node using an error correcting code and transmitting first messages from the first node to the second node over a data path, the transmitted first messages including the data messages and the one or more redundancy messages. Second messages are received at the first node from the second node, which are indicative of: (i) a rate of arrival at the second node of the first messages, and (ii) successful and unsuccessful delivery of the first messages. A transmission rate limit and a window size are maintained according to the received second messages. Transmission of additional messages from the first node to the second node is limited according to the maintained transmission rate limit and window size.

The system includes a data storage to store a collector route template for the plurality of sensors with a sensor collection routine defining how the plurality of sensors. The system includes a data acquisition and analysis circuit to receive detection signals and evaluate the detection values with respect to a rule, and further, based on the evaluation of the detection values with respect to the rule, to modify the sensor collection routine.

Methods and systems for the industrial internet of things

A puncture sealing system for sealing a vascular puncture comprises an inner member and an outer member comprising a lumen sized and shaped to allow the inner member to slide therein, an occlusion balloon at an outer member distal end, and an inflation lumen that extends from an outer member proximal end to the interior of the occlusion balloon. The occlusion balloon can be inflated by fluid flowing through the outer member inflation lumen so that the occlusion balloon can enable the occlusion of a vascular puncture and contact and apply pressure to a puncture tract extending from the vascular puncture. In one version, the inner member further comprises a vessel locator system. In one version, the puncture sealing system further comprises an obturator slidably receivable within the outer member and having a distal end adapted to at least partially cover the puncture.

An example data collection system in an industrial environment includes a data collector in communication with a number of input channels for acquiring collected data. The system includes a data storage that stored the collected data as a number of data pools. The system includes a self-organizing data marketplace engine that receives the data pools, and that is organized based on training a marketplace self-organization with a training set, and further based on feedback from measures of marketplace success with respect to the data pools.

A system is provided for causing hemostasis at a puncture and a puncture tract. The system includes an inner member comprising an expandable member at its distal end and an inflation lumen that extends from inner member proximal end to an interior of the expandable member. The system further includes an outer member comprising a lumen sized and shaped to allow the inner member to slide therein, an occlusion balloon at its distal end, and an inflation lumen that extends from its proximal end to the interior of the occlusion balloon. The expandable member can be inflated by fluid flowing through the inner member inflation lumen so that the expandable member can close a puncture in a subcutaneous vessel of a living being. The occlusion balloon can be inflated by fluid flowing through the outer member inflation lumen so that the occlusion balloon can contact and apply pressure to a puncture tract extending from the skin of the living being to the puncture.

A method for data communication between a first node and a second node over a number of data paths coupling the first node and the second node includes transmitting messages between the first node and the second node over the number of data paths including transmitting a first subset of the messages over a first data path of the number of data paths, and transmitting a second subset of the messages over a second data path of the number of data paths. The first data path has a first latency and the second data path has a second latency substantially larger than the first latency, and messages of the first subset of the messages are chosen to have first message characteristics and messages of the second subset are chosen to have second message characteristics, different from the first message characteristics.
