Bed linen device

A nestable anti-ligative bed linen device and system comprising individual bed linen units wherein a plurality of such units may nest therein and be securely positioned in place on a mattress. Said individual bed linen unit of this system comprising a blanket attached to a cover sheet at a point of union at their common ends. Said union positioned towards the edge of said common ends to allow space for nesting. Said union positioned underneath a mattress by a given distance to allow multiple bed linen units to securely position on a mattress in nested form. The anti-ligative features include a union positioned at a location on said bed linen unit to prevent a lanyard from being formed. Other anti-ligative features include quilted thick tear resistant material and a built in pillow. Additional safety mechanisms are included such as a motion sensor and alarm.

Nestable anti-ligative bed linen system and device

An anti-ligative bed linen system includes one-piece bedding having a top blanket attached to the base of a bottom cover to fit on a mattress. The bed linen includes quilted material that resists tearing or vandalism. The features of being one-piece, quilted, and tear resistant creates a bed linen that is difficult to contrive a hanging device from. Rolling up the quilted material makes a thicker lanyard as compared to a sheet or thin blanket that hospitals typically use. The thicker the lanyard the less lethal it is. Built into the structure are features that allow another bed linen set to be installed over an existing set so the user can use multiple blankets if desired. Another feature includes an alarm system that warns when the bed linen has been removed from the mattress. A washable foldable quilted pillow provides safe comfort and avoids the dangers of using pillowcases.

Anti-ligative bed linen system

An anti-ligative ergonomic type door-knob primarily of the institutional type, essentially serving to defeat the effort of a temporarily mentally-depressed room occupant from succeeding in committing self-hanging via contrived ensnaring by which to secure a cord like hanging-noose. Generic-variant embodiments of my anti-ligative doorknob are set forth, including both a circular and semi-circular escutcheon-plate for I-shaped V-shaped Y-shaped X-shaped fin-levers, and also a non-finned hemispherical iteration. The novel critical minimum approximate 40-degree anti-ligative principle of my LIFESTAR&#x2122; doorknobs reliably prevents a person ensnaring any heretofore problematically hazardous to portion of the door-knob assembly, while my optionally cooperating door latchbolt is formed to a matching critical minimum approximate 40-degree anti-ligative tri-beveled latchbolt as well. Further suicide-deterrence is achieved by effectively submerging the doorknob into the door escutcheon-plate, thereby leaving virtually no declivity by which a suicidal-person can secure any manner of self-inflicted hanging-cord.

A weight alarm system for indicating excess weight applied to a door is disclosed. The alarm system comprises an excess weight sensing means, such as a pressure strip means fixed around a peripheral edge of the door or a load cell fixed between the peripheral edge of the door and a structural mount for the door. A door latching mechanism includes traverses either a front or a rear side of the door and includes a latching bolt. When the excess weight sensing means if actuated a signaling means is activated to alert those nearby to a possible suicide attempt.
