A method of assigning parent-of-origin to a haplotype, a sub-haplotype or an allele associated with a haplotype. Chromosome-length haplotypes of a genome are generated and a differential methylation status of at least one imprinted differentially methylated region (iDMR) associated with each one of the autosomal chromosomes is determined. The differential methylation status of the at least one iDMR is used to assign parent-of-origin for each one of the chromosome-length haplotypes.

Method for parent-of-origin disease allele detection for the diagnosis and management of genetic diseases

Various embodiments are described herein for controlling the self-assembly process of paramagnetic particles and the final particle cluster size using a liquid-liquid interface. The number of paramagnetic particles within a particle cluster and coating at the liquid-liquid interface may be controlled by systematically varying the strength of an applied magnetic field gradient and the interfacial tension of the liquid-liquid interface.

S100B mini-promoters

Carbamimidothioic acid esters of formula (I) and 2-nitro-N-[4-(pyridin-4-ylamino)phenyl]-4-(quinolin-4-ylamino)benzamide are used for the treatment of influenza, and for the inhibition of a viral RNA-dependent RNA polymerase. Formulae (I), (II).

Anti-viral carbamimidothioic acid esters

The present invention provides pyrimidinyl compounds of formula (I) and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. These compounds may be used for the inhibition of influenza. In particular, the compounds of the invention may be used for the treatment or prophylaxis of influenza A, most particularly H1N1 or H5N1 influenza. The compounds of the invention can also be used for the treatment or prophylaxis of a disease caused by, an orthomyxovirus, a paramyxovirus, a parainfluenza virus, mumps virus, Newcastle disease virus, fowl plague virus or Sendai virus.
