A basketball performance monitoring system sensor including at least one sensor proximate a basketball goal having a backboard, a rim coupled to the backboard, and a net having strings coupled to the rim; the at least one sensor configured to determine shot information, the shot information comprising both an impact of a basketball with at least one of the backboard and the rim, and a shot passing through the rim; a local microprocessor coupled to the at least one sensor; a housing containing both the at least one sensor and the local microprocessor; the housing includes geometric features to reduce the likelihood of tangling housing in the net; and the housing having a first end and a second end opposite the first end; wherein the first end of the housing extends outside the net; wherein the second end of housing includes an arm extending inside the net.

Basketball performance monitoring system

A system for creating and viewing indexed video snippets of a series of shots toward a goal comprising at least one sensor directly connected to a microprocessor, the microprocessor configured to trigger responsive to a ball-shooting detection of at least one of the series of shots toward the goal; electronic times that represent the accurate timing of a triggering event related to the ball-shooting detection; one or more video recordings captured by at least one recording source; wherein the electronic times are utilized to associate portions of the one or more video recordings with corresponding shots toward the goal; the associated portions are stored as separate video snippets; and the video snippets are indexed by the corresponding shots toward the goal.

Tensioning device for a face mask

A basketball performance monitoring system comprising a local microprocessor in communication with a remote computational system. At least one sensor is coupled to the microprocessor. The at least one sensor is coupled to a basketball goal and is configured to sense at least one of an attempt to score a goal and a successful goal. A first display is coupled to the microprocessor and a second display is coupled to the remote computational system.

A sports game scorekeeping system, comprising electronic instrumentation allowing game officials to electronically input and record game statistics and wirelessly communicate them to both reconfigurable electronic scoreboards and remote computational systems. The instrumentation used by officials may be affixed to the official's arm or wrist and allow for touch or voice inputs so as to minimally distract the official from other game duties.

Referee scorekeeping and data dissemination system

A basketball performance monitoring system sensor comprising a sensor housing coupled to a basketball goal proximate a net. The housing has a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The housing includes an arm proximate the second end and is configured extendable inside the net. A U-shaped appendage is located between the first end and the second end. The U-shaped appendage is configured to couple to the net; wherein the sensor is configured to sense a ball impact vibration and/or an angular orientation responsive to a basketball passing over the arm.

A valve assembly for a single-lever faucet is configured to control a flow rate of water and has a valve body, a valve cartridge, and a valve stem. A flow control assembly is operatively connected to the valve assembly and constructed to attach to a faucet handle. The flow control assembly includes a valve stem, a handle actuator that operates the valve stem to control the flow rate of the water, a gear assembly, and a biasing member. Moving the handle actuator to the water-on position from the neutral position increments the valve stem to an open valve position. The handle actuator automatically returns to a neutral position with the water flowing after the user pivots the handle actuator to a water-on position, and automatically returns to the neutral position with no water flowing after the user pivots the handle actuator to the water-off position.

Water-saving faucet

A basketball goal system is provided which helps improve the shooting skills of a use. The system includes a rim which is expandable and contractable in diameter. The rim has a pair of free ends which are caused to be moved relative to each other to change the rim diameter. Attached to each of the free ends is a device for causing such relative movement and thereby the expansion and contraction of the rim.

Contracting basketball hoop

An apparatus and method for automatically inserting a cable into a protective jacket. A longitudinal cut is made in the protective jacket and the cable is inserted into the longitudinal cut. The cable and jacket are transported through the apparatus along an arcuate guide path formed by a friction wheel.
