An axle, for a mining machine, includes one or more segments, each defining a first wall portion, a second wall portion disposed opposite to the first wall portion, a third wall portion, and a fourth wall portion. The third wall portion extends between the first and the second wall portions to meet the first wall portion at a first corner portion and the second wall portion at a second corner portion. The fourth wall portion extends between the first and the second wall portions to meet the first wall portion at a third corner portion and the second wall portion at a fourth corner portion. The second thickness of the second corner portion and the third thickness of the third corner portion are greater than each of the first thickness of the first corner portion and the fourth thickness of the fourth corner portion.

Front axle for mining machines

A retainer for retaining a pin with a section of a work machine. The retainer includes a body to be reversed between a first state and a second state to secure the pin with the section in each of the first state and the second state. The body defines a retaining portion and a securing portion. The securing portion is fixedly coupled to the retaining portion and defines through-holes. In the first state, the through-holes are aligned with apertures of the section for coupling the body to the section such that the retaining portion acquires first orientations relative to the section to engage the pin according to the first orientations. In the second state, the through-holes are aligned with the apertures for coupling the body to the section such that the retaining portion acquires second orientations relative to the section to engage the pin according to the second orientations.

A retention system for a bearing member includes a sleeve member and a retention member. The retention system includes an inner shoulder adapted to limit movement of the bearing member in at least one of a first axial direction and a second axial direction relative to the bore. The retention system includes an outer shoulder adapted to limit movement of at least one of the sleeve member and the retention member in at least one of the first axial direction and the second axial direction relative to the bore. The retention system includes a plurality of fasteners adapted to limit movement of each of the sleeve member and the retention member in at least one of the first axial direction and the second axial direction relative to the bore. Each of the sleeve member and the retention member is adapted to limit contact of the bearing member with the bore.

Retention system for bearing member

A front tower on a truck body for use with a mining vehicle. The truck body includes a truck bed including a canopy and a front exterior wall. The front exterior wall includes at least one front tower. The front tower includes two longitudinal plates spanning the front exterior wall, at least one gusset plate transverse and connected to the longitudinal plates, and a landing plate transverse and connected to the longitudinal plates. The landing plates are configured to transfer load stress from the bed to a frame of a mining vehicle.
