A plurality of legs of the pipe fitting stand are coupled to the table and movable between a deployed position and a stowed position. In the stowed position, the plurality of legs are positioned side-by-side with each other and the table and are substantially parallel to each other and to the table.

The plurality of legs are moveable between a first position and a second position via a linkage mechanism. The pipe fitting stand additionally includes a stirrup coupled to one of the plurality of the legs to facilitate pivoting the plurality of legs between the first position and the second position.

A pipe fitting stand for supporting a pipe during a work operation includes a table, and a plurality of legs coupled to the table and movable between a deployed position and a stowed position. The pipe fitting stand additionally includes a locking mechanism movable between a first position in which the locking mechanism engages at least one of the plurality of legs, and a second position in which the locking mechanism disengages the at least one of the plurality of legs. The locking mechanism is configured to secure the table in the stowed position in the second position.
