Aspects include receiving source tokens associated with source data and target tokens associated with target data, generating source encodings for each source token of the set of source tokens, and generating target encodings for each target token of the set of target tokens. Aspects include receiving an indication of a selected source token associated with the source data. Aspects further include determining an identified target token from the set of target tokens corresponding to the selected source token by calculating distances between the selected source token and each of the target tokens in the high-dimensional latent space using the source encodings and the target encodings. Aspects include displaying a correspondence between a portion of the source data corresponding to the selected source token and a portion of the target data associated with the identified target token.

Determining and displaying correspondences between source data and target data from a translation process

Embodiments relate to interactive editing of a machine-generated document. A computer-implemented method includes receiving, by a processor, a machine-generated document and performing a comparison of a current state of the machine-generated document to a previous state. A user edit is identified as one or more user-replaced tokens of a previous token sequence based at least in part on the comparison. A new version of the machine-generated document is generated that includes the one or more user-replaced tokens and identifies one or more related tokens to replace with a suggested replacement token sequence associated with the one or more user-replaced tokens. A suggestion list is generated for display to the user in a graphical user interface to indicate the suggested replacement token sequence to replace the one or more related tokens.

Interactive editing of a machine-generated document

Embodiments relate to interactive graphical display. A request is processed by a generative system to generate multiple hypotheses of an output in response to the request, a primary hypothesis of the multiple hypotheses having a highest confidence for the output, multiple secondary hypotheses of the multiple hypotheses having a lower confidence than the highest confidence. At least one region of divergence is determined from the primary hypothesis by the multiple secondary hypotheses, the at least one region of divergence having alternatives in the multiple secondary hypotheses, the alternatives in the multiple secondary hypotheses differing from the primary hypothesis. A graphical user interface displays the at least one region of divergence in the primary hypothesis and alternatives in the multiple secondary hypotheses for the at least one region of divergence, the alternatives and primary hypothesis for the at least one region of divergence being displayed as selectable options for a user.

Interactive graphical display of multiple overlapping hypotheses or document versions

A method of providing, by a computing device, access to a user of sections of an electronic document. The method includes receiving, by a computing device, a computerized image of a user accessing an electronic document. The computing device further accesses a facial recognition database and compares the computerized image to one or more entries in the facial recognition database to determine an identity of the user. The user is provided access to one or more sections of the electronic document based upon the identity of the user.

According to a first aspect of the present invention, a computer implemented method, a computer system and a computer program product for creating an ontological conversational agent, the method including creating an ontological specification of a domain of discourse of the ontological conversational agent, and creating a description of one or more goals of the ontological conversational agent. In an embodiment, the ontological description includes classes of entities, their associated attributes and relationships between the classes of entities. In an embodiment, the ontological description includes language-related descriptions. In an embodiment, the method, computer system and computer program product further includes creating a description of services of the ontological conversational agent. An embodiment including receiving a first utterance from a user during a conversation, identifying a first intent based on the first utterance, and recognizing a first goal of the one or more goals, based on the first intent.

Ontology-based organization of conversational agent

A method of using artificial intelligence to provide source code from an original programming language in a target programming language showing regions of low confidence. The method includes receiving, by a computing device, a code base in an original programming language. The computing device further provides the code base in the original programming language to a target programming language using an artificial intelligence tool. The computing device additionally displays the code base in the target programming language using a visualization tool in a visual interface. The computing device still further displays the regions of uncertainty to a human user in the visual interface. The regions of uncertainty provide low confidence regions of the code base in the target programming language for targeted user intervention. The regions of low confidence correlate with violations to provide displayed actionable insight regions.

Computer assisted programming with targeted visual feedback

A computer-implemented method, non-transitory computer readable storage medium, and computing device for visualizing entities and relations within a file. The content of at least one portion of a file is parsed by natural language processing (NLP). A frequency is determined of one or more entities within the at least one portion of the file parsed by NLP. Visualization data is generated of at least one entity of the one or more entities in the file, and is output for display.

Provided are techniques for exploration and navigation of a content collection. A first window and a second window are created within the user interface displayed on the electronic display. A node graph visualization is displayed in the first window, wherein the node graph visualization comprises nodes representing individual content elements within the content, and wherein the nodes are clustered in proximity to each other according to topics associated with the individual content elements. A text-based topic visualization is displayed in the second window, wherein the text-based topic visualization comprises text elements representing topics associated with the individual content elements within the content. Selection is received of one or more text elements. Highlighting and zooming in is performed on a subset of nodes representing individual content elements associated with a union of the one or more text elements selected corresponding to the one or more topics of interest.

Embodiments of the present invention provide methods, computer program products, and a system for determining and providing health risk alerts. Embodiments of the present invention can be used to collect numbers entered by a user, which in turn are used to determine the health risks of the behavior of the user. Embodiments of the present invention can be used to issue alerts to a person of interest based, at least in part, on the number strings entered by the user.

Health trend identification

A publication-and-subscription mechanism for team rooms, referred to as team room 'channels', through which teams are able to selectively share resources from their team rooms with non-members, and that allows selective contributions, modifications, and discussions from non-members. The team room channels operate as bidirectional information pipelines to other team rooms. The team room channels may either be broadcast to all known teams, or be published selectively to one or more designated 'target' teams. The receiving team rooms may then subscribe to specific published channels as appropriate. Information items from a team's team room, such as documents, tasks, representations of team members, and/or other resources, may be added to one or more of a team's published channels. Teams can associate specific permissions with each channel, including Read, Contribute, Modify, and/or Discuss. These permissions apply to all items associated with the channel. Teams can subscribe to those channels published to them, to receive synchronous notifications of changes to the channel items.

Selective information sharing across team spaces

A system, method and computer program product for facilitating collaborative decision making may be provided. The system receives data representing individual postings of users associated with a deliberation to make a decision. The system further receives ratings associated with the individual postings in order to make the decision. The system represents the received data in a hierarchical data structure. The system aggregates, through the hierarchical data structure, the ratings associated with the individual postings to obtain strength values. The system facilitates the making of the decision based on the aggregated strength values.

Collective evaluation of alternatives in a collaborative decision making environment

A chat user interface for threaded text chat systems. The user interface can include a canvas view in which multiple portions of a threaded text tree for a chat session can be rendered separately and concurrently. The user interface further can include a chat participant view, a chat input view and an outline view of an ongoing chat session. Notably, selections of a threaded text tree rendered in the canvas view can be configured for zooming so that certain parts of the threaded text tree can be viewed more readily than other parts of the threaded text tree. Moreover, as new text entries are provided to any branch of the threaded text tree, visual indicators can be activated in the canvas view to alert an end user to the location of the new text entries. Finally, the canvas view can accommodate both imported external objects, such as graphics or links to Web pages, and also a white board region into which notations can be applied by an end user during the course of a chat session.

Chat user interface for threaded text chat systems

A conversation manager processes spoken utterances from a user of a computer. The conversation manager includes a semantics analysis module and a syntax manager. A domain model that is used in processing the spoken utterances includes an ontology (i.e., world view for the relevant domain of the spoken utterances), lexicon, and syntax definitions. The syntax manager combines the ontology, lexicon, and syntax definitions to generate a grammatic specification. The semantics module uses the grammatic specification and the domain model to develop a set of frames (i.e., internal representation of the spoken utterance). The semantics module then develops a set of propositions from the set of frames. The conversation manager then uses the set of propositions in further processing to provide a reply to the spoken utterance.

System and method for relating syntax and semantics for a conversational speech application

An expertise locator enables user defined correspondences between experts and respective certain objects. Each object inherits from classes in a hierarchy. Using the correspondences, a locator processor routine finds a candidate expert about a particular subject area. The candidate expert may be in a correspondence with a certain object whose class is a subclass of the particular subject area. Output may display an indication of the candidate expert, relevant expertise per candidate and/or a list of experts per certain object. In the case of the certain objects being topics, the hierarchy is an ontology of the topics.
