An inner frame blank for a pack of tobacco industry products, where the inner frame blank is foldable to form an inner frame for holding a group of tobacco industry products, and the inner frame blank has a first major panel and a second major panel joined to opposing edges of a central panel such that the first and second major panels are foldable relative to the central panel to form opposing sides of the inner frame, and where the inner frame blank also has an aperture in at least the central panel that defines an extraction opening for removing tobacco industry products from within the inner frame when the inner frame blank is folded to form the inner frame.

Inner frame blank for a pack of tobacco industry products

A pack comprising a base containing a group of tobacco industry products wrapped in a barrier layer that comprises a section to define an extraction opening for the removal of tobacco industry products when the pack is open is disclosed. The pack has a lid attached to the base for rotation between open and closed positions and a lid front wall having an inner surface. A lid front wall flap is folded relative to the lid front wall. A label is attached to said section and has a portion attached to the lid so that, when the lid is rotated into an open position, the section is lifted to open the extraction opening. The lid front wall flap is shaped so that the portion of the label is attached to the inner surface of the lid front wall rather than to the lid front wall flap.

A pack comprising: a base, the base containing a group of tobacco industry products wrapped in a barrier layer to form a bundle; a lid mounted to the base for rotation between open and closed positions; a section in the barrier layer to define an extraction opening for the extraction of tobacco industry products when the lid is in an open position; and a label having first and second surfaces on opposite sides of the label. The first surface is formed by a first region of the label attached to the section of the barrier layer and the second surface is formed by a second region of the label attached to the lid. An intermediate portion extends between said first and second regions and is configured to be weaker than each of the first and second regions.

Tobacco pack with label

A pack () comprising a base () containing a group of tobacco industry products () wrapped in a barrier material () that comprises a removable section () to define an extraction opening () for the removal of tobacco industry products is disclosed. The pack has lid () attached to the base for rotation between open and closed positions and a lid front wall () having an inner surface () and a lid front wall flap () having front and rear () faces. The lid front wall flap is folded relative to the lid front wall about a fold along a lower edge () of the lid front wall and comprises a first portion () extending from the fold. The rear face of the lid front wall flap formed by the first portion is attached to said inner surface of the lid front wall. The lid front wall flap also comprises an intermediate portion () extending from, and which is configured to fold relative to, the first portion, and a second portion () extending from the intermediate portion which is folded relative to the intermediate portion to expose the rear face of the lid front wall flap formed by the second portion. A label () is attached to the removable section of the barrier material and to the lid so that, when the lid is rotated towards the open position, the removable section is lifted to open the extraction opening. The label is attached to the rear face of the lid front wall flap is formed by the second portion.

Pack for tobacco industry products

The present invention relates to packaging for tobacco industry products and, more particularly, packages comprising a label having a tab. A package comprises a barrier material for enclosing one or more tobacco industry products, the barrier material having a region which, in use, forms an aperture, and a label formed from two or more layers which overlie the region, the label having a tab formed from one or more layers, but not all layers, of the two or more layers of the label.

The invention relates to packaging for tobacco industry products and, particularly but not exclusively, to packages including a label having a tab. A barrier material encloses one or more tobacco industry products and has a region which, in use, forms an aperture over which is positioned the label. The tab at least partially overlies the region.

The present invention relates to a package for smoking articles comprising a container portion () and a lid () hingedly connected to the container portion () about a hinge line (). The lid () includes an end portion () and a lid wall () extending from the end portion () that overlaps a container wall () of the container portion () when closed, the container wall () having a locking element () that locates over a corresponding locking part () on the lid wall () and a recess () formed in the inner frame () extending from an upper edge () of the inner frame (). In one embodiment, a lower edge () of the recess () is spaced further from the upper edge () of the container wall () than the locking element (). In another embodiment, the recess () extends into the second container wall ().

An access aperture () is defined in the enclosure of barrier material. A moveable cover () is configured to extend over the access aperture (). Smoking article wrapper and method of making a smoking article A smoking article component comprises a curved sheet wrapper of weight 40 gsm or more that includes a plurality of lines of strength discontinuity at which the wrapper presents a visually discernable non-uniformity in its curvature. The wrapper can be used for example to wrap the filter of a cigarette as a plug wrap for the filter so as to comprise a wrapper of weight 80 gsm or more.

A pack for smoking articles is disclosed. The pack comprises a lid () and a body () configured to move relative to one another. The lid has a front wall () with a lower front wall edge () and a tab () extending from the lower front wall edge which is adhered to a front panel () of the body. The tab () includes a line of weakening () that is broken to initially open the pack such that at least a portion of the tab remain adhered to the front panel of the body.

One embodiment of the invention provides a hinged-lid pack () for smoking articles such as cigarettes. The pack comprises a body () and a lid () each having respective front (), back () and opposing side panels (A,B,A,B). The back panel of the lid () is hinged to the back panel of the body. At least one side panel of the lid is provided with an inner tab (A,B) extending substantially coplanar with the side panel of the lid to resist opening of the lid.

A hinged-lid pack () for smoking articles is disclosed. The pack () comprises a body () and a lid () hingedly connected to the body along a rear wall of the pack so as to define a line of closure between the lid () and the body () that extends from the rear wall across opposing side walls and a front wall of the pack. The line of closure () has a first portion () that extends away from the rear wall across each side wall at a first angle ('A', 'C') relative to the rear wall. The line of closure () also has a second portion () that extends from the first portion towards the front wall of the pack, the second portion () is at a second angle (&#x2018;B&#x2019;,&#x2018;D&#x2019;) relative to the rear wall.
