The present disclosure is a system for risk-based scheduling of a containerized application service. The system may include a scheduler extender which is configured to receive a list of nodes available to process an application or part of an application to be completed by one or more nodes of the list of nodes and receive information from one or more information technology (IT) sensors configured to measure an aspect of an IT operation associated with nodes of the list of nodes. The scheduler extender may be configured to filter the list of nodes based on the information from the one or more information technology (IT) sensors which measure an aspect of an IT operation associated with nodes of the list of nodes.

Risk-based scheduling of containerized application services

The present disclosure relates to a system for at least one of identifying or verifying which specific data center device, from a plurality of data center devices, is being powered from an AC outlet of a power distribution unit. The system includes a message encoding algorithm module, a message decoding algorithm module and an input signal monitoring subsystem. The input signal monitoring subsystem monitors an AC power signal being supplied to the data center devices, wherein one of the data center devices includes an AC powered target device. A power distribution unit (PDU) supplies the AC power signal to the AC powered target device. The PDU has a controller which uses the message encoding algorithm to create a modulated AC power signal that includes an encoded message in accordance with a predetermined power cycle profile (PCP) event. The target device analyzes the PCP event as the modulated AC power signal is received and creates a decoded message therefrom. The decoded message is used to indicate whether the AC outlet of the PDU is providing power to the target device.

System and method for detecting relationship between intelligent power strip and device connected thereto

A system and method is disclosed for analyzing a set of collected raw data point values and determining which one or ones of the values are erroneous data values. In one implementation of the method specific ones of the values are examined to determine if they are outliers, and if so they are removed from the data set. At least two other ones of the values obtained at points in time prior to a given one of the values are examined. Weights may be assigned to the at least two other values, and the weights used to help generate a predicted data point value. The predicted data point value is compared to the given one of the values to determine if the given one of the values is an erroneous value. In this way the integrity of each data point value in the set can be checked.

A data center infrastructure management (DCIM) system having an infrastructure control fabric (ICF) subsystem for enabling a manager component of an independent computing device to communicate directly with the DCIM system. The DCIM system, in one embodiment, may have a manageability subsystem engine for monitoring data being transmitted from the independent computing device. A domain model may be included that has an extension relating to information on the independent computing device. A services server may be used which provides a shared services infrastructure layer. The ICF subsystem may have components located in each of the manageability subsystem engine, the domain model, on the services server, and in the manager component of the independent computing device, to enable the independent computing device to directly query the DCIM system to obtain at least one of real time power, cooling and space information that is useful for the independent computing device to know before at least one of initiating an operation or continuing with an operation.

A method is disclosed for forming a distributed data store using a remote access appliance associated with a data center infrastructure management (DCIM) system. Data may be generated which is associated with operation of managed device being monitored by the DCIM system. At least one remote access appliance may be used to receive the data. An element library framework may be used by the remote access appliance to generate events from the data. The remote access appliance may also be used to implement a complex event processing subsystem to analyze the events and to generate event related signals therefrom. A bus may be used to transmit the event related signals from the appliance to a common platform services (CPS) subsystem of the DCIM system. The CPS subsystem may be used to receive the event related signals and to use the event related signals to inform the user of an aspect of performance of the managed device.

A system is disclosed for enhancing detection of a security threat to a managed infrastructure device operating within a data center. The system may have a data center infrastructure management (DCIM) system for monitoring operation of the managed infrastructure device. The DCIM system may include a remote access appliance for communicating with the managed infrastructure device. The managed infrastructure device may include an on-board computer. The present disclosure relates to a server that makes use of a host central processing unit (CPU) which accesses a production network to enable communications with a remotely located subsystem using the production network. A USB host system may be operably associated with the host CPU. A service processor may also be incorporated in the server, which is configured to communicate with an out of band network. A service processor USB system may be operably associated with the service processor and may communicate with the USB host system. This enables access to either an operating system or a hypervisor running on the host CPU via the out of band network, using an Ethernet-over-USB protocol.

A method and system to detect a correlation of movements of an input device, sent from a first location, with at least one configurable movement parameter set on a remote computer at a second location remote from the first location, wherein the method includes: (a) sending first movement information from the first location to the remote computer at the second location, the first movement information corresponding to a first movement of the input device; (b) tracking a resulting movement of a cursor of the remote computer at the second location in response to the remote computer having received the first movement information and utilized the at least one configurable movement parameter; (c) calculating predicted movements utilizing at least two possible values for the at least one configurable movement parameter; and (d) determining which of the at least two possible values provides the predicted movement most closely matching the resulting movement of the cursor.

An Intelligent Network Peripheral (INP) is equipped with a recording control processor that is connected to at least one internal or external recording device (e.g., hard drive, disk array, CD-recorder, DVD recorder, and/or tape device). Using the INP, a user may be prompted to perform an activity, such as (1) start a new recording session, (2) playback a recorded session, (3) delete a recorded session, (4) edit recording parameters (e.g., the number of stored frames, the length of a session to record, the resolution of the image to record), and (5) re-run a recorded session.
