The present disclosure relates to a crib liner suitable for use with a crib, wherein the crib has a perimeter, and wherein a plurality of spaced vertical support elements are provided along the perimeter. In one embodiment, the crib liner may include a first panel configured to cover a portion of the spaced vertical support elements. The first panel may have first and second ends, a breathable body portion, a bottom border, and a top border. In some embodiments, the first panel may further comprise side borders. Fastening mechanisms may be provided at either or both ends for attaching the first panel to the crib. The breathable body portion may have an air permeability of between 385 CFM and 1530 CFM, a light permeability of between 47 and 99%, and a CO2 rebreathing value of less than 20%.

The rear supports have a lower height than the front supports. Furniture anti-tipping mechanism includes an L-shaped boot having a first portion and a second portion shorter than the first portion and having an upwardly extending position at an angle (less than 180&#xb0;) to the first portion. A side rail extends upward from a lateral edge of the first portion. The first portion is attached to a bottom surface of the furniture by a screw or bolt which fits through a respective aperture in the first portion or by adhesive on an upper surface of the first planar portion in a position to contact a bottom surface of the furniture. The second portion is attached to a rear surface of the furniture by a screw or bolt which fits through a respective aperture in the second portion or by adhesive on an inner surface of the second planar portion in a position to contact the rear surface of the furniture.

A piece of furniture and an anti-tipping mechanism include a frame having a front and a rear, at least one drawer slidable through the front of the frame into and partly out of the frame, and one or more L-shaped boots each having a first elongate planar portion and a second planar portion shorter than the first planar portion with the second planar portion having a position at an angle to the first planar portion. The second planar portion is attached to a rear surface of the frame to be alongside and in contact therewith. The first planar portion is situated below the front and rear of the frame and extends forward of the front of the frame when the second planar portion is attached to the rear surface of the frame to aid in preventing tipping of the piece of furniture.

Furniture anti-tipping mechanism integrated into a piece of furniture includes a bracket attachable to a vertical support, a substantially planar wall section situated in the furniture and having front and rear surfaces defining a thickness therebetween constituting a rear wall of the furniture, and attachment structure to connect the bracket to the wall section. The attachment structure may include at least one projection projecting from the bracket, at least one corresponding dimensioned aperture in the wall section, and at least one connector engageable onto a respective projection to enable the wall section to be tightened against the bracket.

A piece of furniture includes a frame and drawers that move forward and backward between a position in which an interior space of the drawer is inaccessible and a position at least partly out of the frame in which the interior space of the drawer is accessible. A bottom front region of a lower section is more forward from a central vertical plane of the frame than a top front region of an upper section, and the lower section can have a greater front to back distance than the upper section. When the frame is in contact with a horizontal surface and the drawer is open, tipping of the frame from its position on the horizontal surface as a result of downward pressure exerted on the drawer is reduced by the lower section of the frame having the greater front to back distance than the upper section.

The attachment structure may include at least one bolt projecting from the bracket and having a height greater than the thickness of the wall section, at least one aperture in the wall section, and at least one wing nut threadable onto a respective bolt after the bolt projects through a respective aperture to enable the wall section to be tightened against the bracket.

Anti-tipping mechanisms integrated into furniture

Mechanism for preventing a piece of furniture from tipping over includes an L-shaped boot having a first elongate planar portion and a second planar portion shorter than the first planar portion. The second planar portion is attachable by structure to a rear surface of a rear leg of the furniture to be alongside and in contact with the rear leg. The first planar portion is dimensioned to extend under the rear leg and under a front leg of the furniture aligning with said rear leg and beyond the front leg when said second planar portion is attached to said rear surface of said rear leg to aid in preventing tipping of the furniture when a force is applied in a forward direction of the furniture. The first planar portion may be configured to extend below right and left legs of the furniture.
