A fuel control system for a gas turbine engine is disclosed that includes a flow path carrying fuel from a fuel source to a combustion chamber, an ecology valvefor removing a quantity of fuel from the flow path, the ecology valvebeing shiftable in a first direction from a first position to a second position and in a second direction from said second position to said first position and a fuel lineconnected between the flow path and the ecology valvefor moving fuel between the flow path and the ecology valveto bias the ecology valvetoward the second position, where the fuel lineis configured, such as by the inclusion of an orificed check valve 150 therein, to allow fuel to move therethrough away from the ecology valveat a greater rate than toward the ecology valve

A fuel control system for supplying metered quantities of fuel from a fuel supply ( ), through a fuel pump ( ), a metering valve ( ) and a pressurizing valve ( ) to a plurality of engine fuel manifolds ( ) includes an ecology valve ( ) for withdrawing fuel from the engine fuel manifolds ( ) during cessation of engine operation and for returning fuel to the engine fuel manifolds ( ) to be burned during normal engine operation. Fuel divider and ecology system for a gas turbine engine

An unbalance compensated bypass valve (,) for a gas turbine engine fuel supply system is responsive to the fuel pressure differential across a fuel metering valve (,) to open and close a bypass orifice (,). The bypass valve (,) selectively supplies high fuel pressure to a compensating cavity (,) providing a counterbalancing force against an annular area (,) of the bypass valve piston (,) to compensate for increased restorative forces of a helical reference spring (,) as that spring is collapsed as well as to compensate for other unbalance conditions within the valve (,).
