Solid-state autotransformers are provided. A system can include a first switch coupled to a first line in which an alternating current signal is conveyed. The system can include a second switch coupled to a second line in which the alternating current signal is conveyed. The second switch can be coupled to the first switch. The first switch can, responsive to a magnitude of a first voltage from the first line to a terminal exceeding a magnitude of a second voltage from the second line to the terminal, pass current from the first line to the terminal. The second switch can, responsive to the magnitude of the second voltage exceeding the magnitude of the first voltage, pass current from the second line to the terminal.

Controllers, devices, and methods for controlling direct current fast charging devices

A power stage circuit with multiple bidirectional AC to DC circuits for bidirectional charging is modified to connect the power stage converters in series for DC to AC applications. The power stage circuit can covert a DC input from a DC power source of a vehicle to an AC output for a power outlet of the vehicle. The power stage circuit uses two lines with a 120 VAC at the power outlet. Using a common neutral line, the AC to DC circuits are connected together to form a split phase power output, and the 120 VAC lines are 180 degrees out of phase to create a 240 VAC source at the power outlet.

In an illustrative embodiment, a direct current (DC) fast charger (DCFC) controller unit includes a controller. The controller includes a processor and computer-readable media. The computer-readable media is configured to store computer-executable instructions configured to cause the processor to: receive a maximum charge time duration to charge at least one battery to a desired state of charge responsive to an increased efficiency charge mode being enabled; determine an amount of energy used in a plurality of charge cycles for charging the at least one battery to the desired state of charge with charge time durations no longer than the maximum charge time duration; select a charge cycle for charging the at least one battery to the desired state of charge with a lowest amount of energy used; and cause the at least one battery to be charged with the selected charge cycle.

Methods and systems for mitigating EMI for electric vehicle chargers are disclosed. In some embodiments, the system comprises a power cabinet comprising a first PEM for charging a first electric vehicle and a second PEM for charging the first vehicle or a second electric vehicle. The first PEM and second PEM may be switched at different frequencies. In some embodiments, a difference between a first frequency of the first PEM and a second frequency of the second PEM is greater than a noise sampling frequency.

Each backup power circuit is configured to convert high voltage DC electrical power to low voltage DC electrical power responsive to detection of loss of low voltage DC electrical power supplied to the controller. Three-phase short circuitry is configured to apply a same fault action to the first power inverter and the second power inverter responsive to detection of loss of low voltage DC electrical power supplied to the controller, wherein the same fault action includes applying equalized torque to each axle operatively coupled to the drive unit.

The DCFC system includes a power supply and a plurality of loads connected by a serial bus. Systems and methods for controlling a dual active bridge converter are disclosed herein. An output voltage of a dual active bridge converter is sensed. Based at least in part on the output voltage, a target intra-bridge phase shift amount between two bridges of the dual active bridge converter is computed. A plurality of switch control signals, which are provided to respective switches of the dual active bridge converter, are caused to switch according to a time-based switching sequence based on the target intra-bridge phase shift amount to compensate for variations in the output voltage.

A controlled impedance network is configured to attenuate the signal. The controlled impedance network is electrically connectable toward a first end of electrical wiring that terminates at a termination at the first end and that is electrically connectable at a second end to the signal generator to carry the signal. A signal detector is configured to detect the signal.
